Hmmm. I wish you had left in all the monstermakers... If the vort dies, the player is supposed to fight and lose...

See? They modified my monstermakers, made less of them, and had it BACKWARDS! The decals that say "JEFFMOD" are supposed to be on the entrance. Oh, well. We knew that they'd be modified.

They still are afaik. The human_assasins keep coming over and over if you kill the vort. And JeffMOD, i include the source files with every release, so if you want to edit your map at any time, pleez feel free to do so, and i'll recompile. ;)

Yeah i have to use impulse 101 or run or it would be hard to survive. You could hide in the loo or run away like you said = )

Maybe after a certain number of assassins come out the monstermaker quits fsr? oh and btw your decals were on the outside of the room when i edited, they were backwards though, so maybe somehow origianlly they were on the inside of the room = )

The decals should show up normally in-game because of the texture alignment of the wall they're on. I meant that to be the entrance, but... does'nt matter. :)

Latest Rooms update, now including entry by nefarious:
Rooms Mappack
RoomsRooms Hammer files

Some of the requested changes have been made to the source files but not compiled... among them:
-lights added to jeffmod's hallway
-night sky added spag/tetsu0 mapped and duplicate light_environments smited.(sky and sky brightness will be darker)
-some door sounds tweaked

If anyone else has a map they would like to add please do so! I know lots of others were talking about joining, so do so! (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE)

I think it looks really cool Tetsu0, honestly(i have always wanted to make and old-style ship like that). I've already thought of some ways to connect it to the other rooms = )

With the lull in submissions lately i've actually had time to work on my source submission, but it's coming very slowly...

Keep working on your rooms if you'd still like to be a part of this project! There is no deadline so no pressure = )

The curvature on those railings looks great!

By the way, it's based upon the black pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Sorry i'm kinda turning this into a WIP thread, but it applies.

Looks superb, even the standard textures look fine (except i hate that HL wood texture... maybe the "mahogany fifties" one or try scaling it smaller/hitting face button for the angled parts?) You might also find some decent ship textures in BG.gcf(The Battlegrounds).

Yeah. I'm definitly getting rid of those textures. I just need a really old wood texture of some sort. And the black pearl is black, so idk how black textures are going to be. Whatever. I'll figure something out.

Anyway. I finished the front railings, and added the front mast. But I'm at School ALL DAY today, so i won't be able to work on it until later.

It's 10:30am and i'll be here until 9:00pm, then i have a 45 minute drive home. So no updates until right around midnight or so. (Eastern Time)

That could still be a room if it had a door on each end of the ship. It's totally open, and it's still contained within one area.

Nice Daub, some sort of machine? I can see the conveyor belt.

And Tetsu0, I'm sure you could find some way to make that ship into a room. Like Srry's idea, Maybe put 2 doors going "below decks" one being the entrance, one being the exit. It would be that much interesting, because how do you go into another huge room, after going into a ship? As long as we aren't looking for realism here with the positioning of the rooms, it could be an interesting effect.

tl;dr

Do Srry's idea.

I haven't had much time to work on mine, semester is ending in school and I've been working hard to make sure I don't get teh fail. :crowbar:

Freshed: No. Now shutup and make a room! = ) (seriously you are right, our definition of "room" is constantly changing, but i won't disqualify any maps that are submitted. This whole things just for fun really ne way ;)

Daub:Looks like a good start and i'm so glad you are entering this i don't care anymore if Urby submits his map by next year or not--aw urby aww = ). I always liked your trim and detail work ;)

ATDestroy: I'll figure out a way to link tetsu0's map don worry, i have some ideas already. If you made his map below decks you wouldn't be able to see best-looking parts of the ship so that idea would be no.

I still have no access to my Hard Drive but in light of the fact that my room was made off poo and ass I have decided to restart my room and actually make more of an effort in terms of gameplay.

Its better this way, trust me.
