TrainspottingPretty great narrative with an intense message-- very introspective, very quirky. Very much my kind of movie.
Reminiscent of Guy Ritchie films, but with emphasis on druggies instead of organized crime.
However, I felt that the ending was quite a let down with minimal closure.
I'd give it a 7.5/10, where 10/10 is life-changing.
Incomplete sentences.
Funny PeopleFrom the writer of Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin.
A dying comedian
Not a comedy, but rather a quirky drama with a lot of depressing undertones. But I knew this before watching.
Excellent premise and execution up until about halfway through, where the plot turns 180 degrees and starts leaning toward romance.
Though arguably Adam Sandler's best serious role, which
was played very well, I wasn't entirely sure I liked the character by the end of the movie.
SPOILER:
I was very disappointed to see Simmons get cured fairly early in the movie. From there, the movie is sort of just filler, and frankly I feel a "happily ever after" ending only hurt the film.First half of the movie gets an 8.25/10, while the second half gets a 5/10.
