Write about some of your accomplishments this year (2009).

I have started learning OpenGL (which is really fun and interesting) and am writing my own game in JavaScript using jslibs. It's a Heroes of Might and Magic III remake and I think I'll actually complete this project.

I am also working on a Half-Life DM map which I am really proud of. It's far from finished but what I have so far is great. You can see screenshots in the WIP thread.

I managed to go a whole day without mastur-

Blue Paradise and acing a regraded course that I got a D in the first time around.

It was a pretty shitty year for me. But let me check: I have...

• Changed career to Architecture, completed 4 out of 5 classes.
• Found out it won't be hard to learn PHP.
• ... maybe that's all.

I suppose I could also say that I officially entered the college of education at my university, but that decision was made in late 2008.

I have completed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 with 13 characters. Only 8+ characters left.

Underground remains the best Tony Hawk game to this day.
Humble opinion, of course.

Anyways, I finished my god awful high school career and started college. I also decided on Chemical Engineering as my major.

Go me.

hmm, lemme think..

• Finally upgraded my computer to something better than a 1.2gigr
• Started ideas on 4 new doujin (3 of which I have intention on finishing) but no where near completion.. so, not so much an accomplishment
• achieved 350+ hours in "Disgaea: hour of darkness"
• managed to collect over 100 gig's of pirated movies/media (most of which being soft-core porn)
• and uhhhhhm.. OH! met a woman who was willing to sleep with me! (she actually didn't end up doing so.. but it's nice to know if conditions came about, it's possible to bag her. conditions being alcohol.)

gosh, guess I really didn't do much of anything..
Well at least I didn't spend it all playing half-life and various products from blizzard ent..er.. tain...

..oh yeah.

-Got my license. Yay driving.
-Like Luke, ended my high school career and went to college; Music major. Yay music.
-Dropped my phone in coke and am now phoneless. Yay coke.
-Saw Avatar twice. Yay 3D glasses.
-Made a bunch of friends at college. Yay college folks.

July '09 - Quit my job as a retail manager.

September '09 - Began studying media at college.

October '09 - Got a job at the same company as before, but in a different place with much less responsibility and much less pay.

October '09 - Co-founded Scotch and Coffee.

Jan '10 - Started earning money from Scotch and Coffee.

A percentage goes toward the competition prizes which have, up until now, been completely funded by myself.

I took first place in the competition 27, something i've been trying at for years. Probably my biggest accomplishment of the year.

I almost completed a rats map of my room, just one more secret and it will be in the vault.

I learned how to use a potter's wheel and got really good at it.

I made three teapots and a lot of other stuff.

I got a bad a huge glass desk and a 22 inch monitor and better speakers.

I completed an entire song with vocals on guitar.

I passed all of my classes in college that I didn't drop.

I caught a five pound four ounce speckle trout.

I made a few architectural maps. Hmm come to think of it I only made two besides my rats and comp entry I really need to pick it up this year...

Well let's see... in a chronological way, starting from February I guess...

-My interest in film-making\machinima making started, and began learning advanced video editing.
-My interest in photography\filming began, but until this moment I didn't have money to buy a DSLR\camcorder.
-For my birthday(15april) I bought myself a second hdd(WD Caviar Blue 500GB) and made a VISA debit card.
-I worked hard for a site writing about different programs used in overclocking\gaming\performance issues(actually just translated descriptions, installed them to make screenshots but never actually used them so don't ask me about these, I use a bunch of software that I know only) and earned 4 GB of Kingston HyperX DDR2 memory.
-Started learning a bit more c++, but my interest got lost in a matter of weeks so I'm still a beginner. I learned some basics of Allegro graphics library and made some basic graphic programs(now I don't know how to do that anymore... only if I learn it again, I don't know what to do for my interest :\).
-Started saving money for a big upgrade. Only have like 100 euro or something, I need like, maybe aprox 460 euro to make my upgrade. Including a new case. And that's because my interest in 3D modelling began this year, and it dropped because of the huge rendering times...

That's about all :). I hope I'll achieve a lot of more new things in this year. Happy new year !

-I made a bot that plays Bejeweled Blitz and beat my mom's 270,000 score with it.

Survived another year of work, and I've almost finished my first map in... years.

Cancer almost destroyed me, but I destroyed it first!
