Dr. Strangelove....Oh man, does that bring back memories. That's a true American classic, Hollywood just don't make movies like that anymore. Did you know that the Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry? That's truly an honor.

And you know what? It's actually on the AFI' 100 Years?100 Laughs list! It's on the #3 spot, though if it was up to me, I will have it at #1.

The Book Of Eli.

Had too much action in it for a religious movie. That's all I have to say. I mean really, chopping off someone's hand and god still helping you...?

Eyes Wide Shut. Intriguing movie, especially the ending. I was expecting something else.

Watched Paranormal Activity last night.

That was the worse idea I ever had. I was up until the sun rose this morning then slept a bit then had nightmares. This movie will fuck you up if you are the slightest bit susceptible to psychological crap.

I also have 3 job interviews todays. Yeah go me.

"UP" was the last movie, I watched.

It was pure awesome. I also had to hold myself not to cry in the first scenes. And a movie never pushed me to that limit before.

I just saw 2001: A Space Oddyssey. Overall it was good, although every single second of it past the arrival at Jupiter freaked me out.

Quite enjoyed it despite the critical reviews.

Point Of No Return (1993)
Quite enjoyed it tho it's a bit dated

Pandorum [2009]
Watched it twice on the plane ride home, enjoyed it more the
more i watched it, tho i hated it when it was first released.

Jeux Interdits

As I already said in a thread, this film made me drop a few tears. It's almost a perfect drama.

Au revoir les enfants

This is another drama, with the children becoming friends in a school. One of them is a Jew, and it will be taken by Nazis at the final of the film.

I don't know why, but older films like these really touch my soul, these new films are mostly ...."cold"...

And I also watched Band of Brothers, which is a series of films from the WW2. Here's a shot: The Nazi camp
If you're attentive, one of the commanders or lieutenants or what are they, really looks like Barney Calhoun :)

I saw Sherlock Holmes a few days back. I thought it was pretty good, disregarding the fact that they've turned the character into some sort of superhero. It has some pretty funny dialogue, and is well worth watching in my opinion.

I saw Dark City for the second time last week.

The first time I saw it, it just came out in the theater in 1998. I only have vague memories of the film, but I remember it was an enjoyable movie.

I have no regret revisiting the "Dark City" universe. I highly recommend this film, especially if you like the sci-fi genre.

Dr Stranelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb 10/10
I think it's Strangelove. I wouldn't rate that film 10 out of 10, it's rather boring, though it's an excellent thought manipulator.

So much wrong with that film, it causes me pain!

Repo movie with Jude law.

shitty but i really didn't expect anything more... It's truly amazing with all the talented writers out there, that most modern movies fail at having a remotely plausible/interesting story...

I mean, who's in charge of approving these scripts?!

Possibly the same people who just hired Jamie Foxx to play a 50-something balding white guy in the film treatment of Kane & Lynch.

Last good movie I saw was "The Prestige". Came on the other night and I had never seen it. Loved the whole thing all the way to the end.

Was really disappointed in District 9 but I dunno what I was expecting so it was a big loss.

Avatar was good but a little unbelievable...will be hard to follow up and yes there are two more Avatars to be made. Read it somewhere. Wiki I think.

I know this thread is getting old but I had to comment on The Book of Eli.

Loved the movie...Denzel is good as always, but....

it kinda lost me with one of the last scenes where it shows the guy putting the bible on the shelf. The one that he just got finished getting from Denzel's head. Well, it said the King James version....lol

Why in the world would god want Denzel to translate some bastardized version of his word to the new world. Didn't the writers think of this?

Edge of Darkness (2010)

Surprisingly better than i thought it would be.

The plot idea is stupid imo but that doesn't matter. you
get to see Mel Gibson kick people's asses in the true
"lethal weapon" style that made him famous.
