sorry but im not talking about the model, I was talking about the code, if you type the 'thirdperson' in console you will see that the thirdperson is not good, it will give you a side view

Not sure if it's needed but "chase_active 1" also works, but the player model blocks the centre of the screen if I remember correctly, which hinders aiming.

Third person is much less immersive that first person but it can still be done. Fallout and Skyrim are 2 of the most immersive games I've played and they can be played in either viewpoint. Personally though, I prefer first person.

Do it Resident Evil style with still camera views that change from shot to shot. Nobody else has done this before that I know of. And you don't need any special coding. aiming would be kind of a bitch though, you might have to lock the up and down movement for it to really work.
On the plus side, you could pack every scene with incredible amounts of detail and not have to worry about slowdown, since you control exactly what is on screen at all times.

you dont need code to program thirdperson. Go to moddb, search for and download the mod called 'macky's adventures', and from that mod extract the file called autoexec.cfg.
That file will allow you to run your mod in the thirdperson.

They don't call him 2muchvideogames for his love of pizza.
Also, @srry. Funny you should suggest that, I tried doing that a few years ago. I'm not sure if it was just a lack of experience or whatever but I could never get it working properly.
