Ok im a world craft newb and im on the second part of the beginners tutorial . I Need to know how to creat a brush. Also how it works
please talk slow i am a newb at this after all .

Things like that are described in the Hammer help files. Browse trough them, you'll find it.

A bit of seaching before asking a question is never a bad idea.

Also, read these tutorials.

it's the grey box in hammer (on the left). a brush is a rectangle. used to create everything in your level.
use the three screens (in the top left screen, try clicking on where it says camera, and change it to 3d textured) to see where you are placing things. you need to place an info_player_start in ur map before you make a whole map that's out of scale. gl

a brush i something like a 3d object that can be manipulated by vm
to cr8 it juz click on the grey box on the left side and click and drag on one of the views.
