this is allready a lot in svencoop, so how many players should play it ? And what is the Epoly count ? Svencoop have big performance issues and with additional wpolys/epoly masses the game starts to kill the latency.
( Allways check the MS in the console if these go far beyound 10 ms, it starts to getting worse. )

I don't think that's a lot in Svencoop since there is some official maps with more than 3k wpoly and I'm getting a max of 2k wpoly in some areas while the rest of the map stays with 700 ~ 1500 max wpoly.

You know the streets are actually convex, not concave, so that rainfall flows over to the sides rather than the middle.

I don't recall seeing any drains ever in the middle of the road. Not like that at least. But what do I know. It could be like that somewhere in the world...

can someone PLEASE make a program that moves all vertices to the nearest grid point.
I remembered why I dislike source hammer so much, even though everything was done using vertex manipulation ( and on grid, I might add ) - saving and reopening, everything fucks up again. Ugh.

The stock textures are truly a magical thing. In answer to your questions:

1. I'll have you know that "Floor wax" brand floor wax is the MOST effective brand of floor wax.

2. That part of the GFSH (short for "Gordon Freeman's Slav Holiday" if you were wondering) canon is still under consideration. It's the "Floor wax" brand industrial meat product.

edit: Our concept artist just finished an amazing new piece of the main hero and we've decided to share it exclusively with TWHL! You guys propably realize this project is very sought after in the gaming press ;-)

I did similar for one of my maps, with demonic glow in eyes.
Something like a copy of the Unreal Tournament head in one of the maps.
You pass trough its mouth :D

Cool I'd like to see that! You jump into the skull's mouth off a cliff edge. The area is much darker, I brightened the image in ps bc I could hardly see it on my other monitor.

I mapped this same thing years ago but never finished the map. That rmf/bsp is long gone by now.

No it's just a horrible fog effect. It looks better from above. The player doesn't access below it.

Cool, yes it is a little similar from what I can see online.

This wip is from a few hours of work and one really rough sketch. I've also always wanted to map a night club with a fish tank like this one. Unfortunately I have to keep details limited because it is part of a large map.

Maybe. But if you're thinking of reskinning the icthy, then you will definitely have issues with that small tank. If Sven-Coop has taught me anything though, it will almost always be hilarious.

Hehe that would be hilarious. Actually I've seen the icthy reskinned as a shark before. I was just planning on flat masked func_rotatings or tracktrains similar to the fish in the foyer of my dreams competition entry.

yes, i make the model from a real picture, then i select all top faces and just put a picture on these faces... it takes a few seconds... however texturing side faces is a more difficult because they have to fit exactly with everything! :o
