Internet is borking out, and I'm barely awake, seems I fixed the grinder. Just have to remove some dirt from the secondary spawn tomorrow when I get on so that those golems can flow down into the main area. Should all work now :D.
EDIT: I can confirm it works. AFK'd for a small bit and it's working fine. Not sure what the ETA for getting the third one online is. But when I do it should be a fast process to get iron.

I was thinking about building something with sandstone, because I think it looks nice, but there isn't really anywhere for it in Twobbington Manor. I decided to build a 1:1 scale Roman Colosseum. After looking it up, I realised just how big the Colosseum is and that it was a stupid idea.

It's been restarting itself several times every hour (at least until it stopped completely last night), so I'm guessing restarting it wouldn't do much.

Well, it's back up, but the problem has worsened.
Previously, it restarted every 30 mins, but now it's restarting every 15. The problem isn't due to large numbers of anything in a small area, as I've been in the nether, trying to hunt Wither Skeletons.

They keep telling me that mods, modpacks and plugins require extra ram but I'm not using any of those at the moment, it's all vanilla.
They also don't answer my question how it is even possible how everything was working fine before, no memory issues whatsoever, and then all of sudden ram usage is exceeding the maximum amount of ram and the server starts to go bonkers.
Whatever.
I think I'll just purchase a ram upgrade and be done with this, because this is not getting me anywhere.
You people better keep playing on a regular basis so this upgrade doesn't feel like a waste of money.

It's a little bit sketchy indeed. But I can live with it. I believe Archie's HL server is also hosted at MultiPlay. I don't know what his opinion is about their service and support, but yea, maybe I'll keep the server for another month or 2 and then find a different provider.

I'll not had much dealings with hosts. A friend got one with Multiplay, I believe. Didn't claim any trouble, but then wasn't the most public server anyway.

I think I might join in on that Colosseum build. I still need to repair The Formerly Outlawed Spade Whispered Only As The Southfist Manchurian Creed of Thanatos' Left Testicle so I can completely decimate that beach for sandstone. I logged on and saw brandenmint for a moment. I insist that it will be particularly difficult to make it an ellipse, you know, being Minecraft and all. And I think it would be suitable in this context to make it rectangular. It could very well be called Amphiteatrum Minecraftum.

I finally got around to building my farms. Reeds, Carrots, Wheat, Pumpkins, Melons, and Cocoa bean farms are all set up. Also have some Cows, Pigs, and Chickens in my animal farm area. Just have to make the CSC and I'll be good to go on farming stuff. My brewing station and nehterwart farm are also functional, made some potions for my nether travels. Still trying to get enough books for my enchant station. Overall my base is pretty much self-sufficient.
EDIT: Construction on the CSC has began! Still have 10 more layers and the rest of the current layers to dig, gonna take a bit.

More pictures of the progress on the CSC. Already have 2 white sheep in one of the finished containment cells. After this level I dig 4 more layers down to build the last 4 containment cells so I can have 16 in total. 1 for each wool color. So far this has been a long boring process, but I think in the end it will be worth the trouble. So much wooooooool.
EDIT: Even more images, things are coming along nicely!
EDIT EDIT: More pictures of the now complete CSC. The colors up top will go around in color order starting at red and ending at pink with white in between them, while the grays and brown will be on the lower levels. Already have a few colors filled out, 2 of every sheep color will be housed here. And under the watervator landing is a rather nicely sized storage space for wool.
Here's the finished CSC:
The small work area under the watervator, you can see that only one of the storage bays has been built, the other will be used for general overflow from my other storage rooms:
And what the actual storage bay looks like. made it with having 16 nooks in mind for double chests, hope I can fill these one day:

I just got a U3 E4 and Silk Touch enchant on a diamond pickaxe. This is the greatest enchantment ever.

For those that haven't seen the new Snapshot yet, let me be the first here to introduce: Banners!
Yes, we will now have the ability to easily plant our on markers staking claim to an area. Not only do we have color options using wool during crafting, but once made, we can use dyes to further customize it to our liking.
We can even mix and match colors as we see fit.
I would like to officially stake my claim to black and green as my banner colors for the server when the 1.8 upgrade occurs.
