but i dont get it...when you press start it loads half life...any entities you need to place to make it load TFC???

Indeed, the question and description of the problem are very vague. Can you describe more clearly what happens and what you want to happen, e.g. what goes wrong?

ok well basically it launches half life.
I want it to launch team fortress you know with the pop p team choice and class...how do i get this to happen?

could you explain ANY better. i still have no hell of a clue what oyur talking about..

oh i get it! 2 ways of getting it to do that. 1 is to put it in the right folder, and load tfc, and in the console type "map (name of map)", or type -game tfc, in the line of text... it might not be tfc, doese any1 else know what he talking about now?

It's very obvious what he's trying to say, or well, it is to me. Make sure your map has a tfdetect entity in it and a teamspawn. I don't normally compile the "normal" way, I always do it the "expert" way and select TFC from there. I hope this worked.

woo thanx guys thats exactly what i was saying... I also got a way from a friend he said press F9 then click dont run game and compile it then go into team fortress and run a lan game / create one it should be on the list but all of yours work and i got this version after yours
