When i select just the floor of a room, and i go to replace and i choose the texture i want i hit ok, then it says 0 textures replaced and the floor stays the same texture. im not sure what to do about this.

when you hit "ok," do you mean you hit the "apply" button in the texture dialog box? Ive never heard of a problem like this

You need to select the floor texture, then click the replace button, then in the box it pops up showing two different textures (one's black at the moment) click 'Replace' under the blank texture box, select a texture, then click ok.

hmmm, do you have the wad included that have the texture that your using? if your just changing the texture of one object, i recommend using this process:

select the floor, hit the browse button, find the new texture you want on the floor, hit apply.

hope this helps

Or you could also just apply the new texture to the floor brush. I do that instead of replacing, saves time.
