Nuclearfallout is creating the server package as of right now...
I'll be spending a while setting up AMXX and uploading maps and whatnot.

Cool, will you upload my map for the comp.? I just have to mess with the weapons layout and add a few things that I couldn't add for the comp. otherwise the layout would be different. and than ill put it in the vault. If anyone wants to get some practice you should hit up -=GOZ=-TheDeadLounge its the funnest server ive ever played in.
We should discuss how the server will be run like maps changing once a player reaches 40 killz or once the time is met and so on..

Sure thing. And a note to others: I'm taking map requests now. Post links and map names in this thread.
You can request as many maps as you want, as there is an unlimited amount of space. Just keep in mind that more maps means less chances of the ones you really want to play being played.
Edit: Would anyone object to 3 bots if they left when players joined? (IE: 1 player = 2 bots, 2 players = 1 bot). I'd just like to have something to shoot at 24/7 so everyone can actually play everyone else's maps.
Edit Edit: All users may use amx_votemap, amx_votekick, and amx_voteban. Vote map and vote kick require at least 50% in favor. A vote ban requires at least 75% in favor.
If your ping is bad, I can request a relocation later.

Yea I remember the last server always played carbaseus and it was always empty. Really fun when people joined though. Anyways carbaseus is a definite!

Its basically a server admin suite that provides many more options (both serious and fun) to the admin of a server that standard servers just dont have.

I hate to break the news to you, but WON was abandoned in 2001. You have to use Steam if you want to play online with anything.
Edit: Fast downloads are go. I didn't even have to use my personal ftp, NFO provided us with a domain with unlimited space and bandwidth with the 6-month plan.
I'll set up HPB bot to get 3 bots in there. Then I can start adding your custom maps.

Bots are go, but with no waypoints so they'll run around aimlessly in the meantime.
There's a max of 3 and a minimum of 0, which means if you're the only player then you'll be fighting 2 bots. They don't talk and use the default names for HPB bot.

Have I ever mentioned I used to make AMX Mod X plugins? I released two plugins, but they are for Counter-Strike only. Then I got pissed off at some of the forum members and told them to ban me.
I was quite good back then, so if you ever need a plugin written for the server you know who to ask.

My brother has steam HL, yet he lost his retail HL's CD key, which means, he probably found mine, used it, and it worked. I'll ask him later if he gets his sleepy ass out of bed.
Also, Jeffmod, if the person who owned this WON HL didn't put the key into steam, then it wouldn't be used anyway, so everything considered, there is a pretty good chance that it will work.
Which brings us back to: no excuse buddy, get steam, go go go!

It's worth the try. I'm installing Steam now. Once a friend brought his copy of HL2 collector's edition to play on my computer, but I bypassed Steam to play without annoyances (I hate intrusive software). I wouldn't be able to use his HL2 key anyway I guess, so this is all I have.

Now we all know why ATD and WC have such changing personalities, cause I use their accounts, and now you can too! =D
I believe the best you can do for everyone in general would be somewhere between the west and midwest (even though midwest US is technically the middle >_>). If it's on the west, it's too far from the UK, if it's on the east, it's too far from Austrlia.

My pings always stay in the 160-200 range, doesn't matter if the server is in new york (only a few hundred miles away) or in Australia. (on pretty much the other fucking side of the world) Kinda weird.
