Alright somewhere along the lines in making my map I did SOMETHING that causes pings to jump to 200-2000 and gives server errors of "Ignoring unreliable datagram, player would overflow" about 100 times a second, I think this is caused by some sort of entity loop.

I remember there was a console command that shows you entities that are currently active, does anyone here know what that command is?

Also, can someone give me some situations where this problem has happened to them (if ever)

Note, the command "entities" does not do anything but show the map is loaded and my player class model is loaded.

Developer 3 shows if a trigger has been hit, what entities are being fired and enables some impulse commands and shows if entities are having trouble doing their tasks.

put r_speeds 2 and gl_wireframe 2 to see whats being rendered and how much r_speeds its taking up. theres a tutorial on r speeds right here.

In my version of HL (1.1.2.0 or whatever that newest Steam version is) typing developer 3 should show when you pass through a trigger, what is being triggered, and any errors. Try enabling developer 3 and typing impulse 107, if it displays something about a texture, its working.

I have the newest version of steam too, and when I launch up tfc, run my map in console, and type developer 3, I do not get the impulse 107 command, it does not tell me im walking into a trigger though it does say Ive spawned and a trigger_auto was activated, but even gl_wireframe works.

r_speeds is not the problem, Im getting plenty good r_speeds.

Developer 3 is the best command there is for this.

well maybe help me figure out why it doesnt work? Im running the map in TFC, and it has to be run in TFC as info_tfgoals are probably the problem I need to check

There are some TFC-specific forums around, have you tried these? Since your problem might be TFC-specific I'd say that's the way to go...

Is '+developer 3' and '+r_speeds 2' 1.1.2.0 only?
Because on my 1.1.1.0 the max is '+developer 2' and '+r_speeds 1'.

I don't think so, Haz. After testing the command with Steam, I found developer 2 to be the highest one that functioned fully for me, as for R_speeds 1/2, I only use r_speeds 1, It gives enough information.

Developer 3 shows more detail.

r_speeds 2 shows the wireframes of rendered brushes even through other geometery.

You probably mean gl_wireframe 2 instead of r_speeds 2, seventh... :)

Doesn't r_speeds 2 make the little display appear on your screen instead of the console, or is that activated once developer x is enabled. (x=>1)

sigh This isnt an argument about r_speeds and shit, this is to try to help me figure out where im having an entity problem, I cant continue till I find it, and Ive tried going through it myself without any success.

Are you running TFC with -dev? You have to have it enabled to use the developer commands.

then take out the tfcgoals entities you whining little girl.
start to remove any questionable entities until you get a result. then you can try and fix teh problam, once you've found out what it is.
and if so few ppl map for tfc, do you not think even less play it, and there's not really much point mapping for it?!
