No-one would ever bother, because all PHP is, to my knowledge, interpreted, so it's always effectively source code being distributed it. There'd be no point in putting in adverts because anyone could remove them easily.

hey guys thx, yeah im back but with a few probs unfortunately. i installed the software as promised when i got back, but having trouble with my system, not sure what ive got to replace yet, looking in to it. wont even let me look at hammer without it crashing

Did you try clear your hard drive?
When was the lasttime you did that and, are you sure you're memory blaha blaha isn't, like, overloaded or something.
I don't know that much about the inside of a computer but I would bet that ether it is the memory or, that you got some weird stuff in your CPU and you need to clear it, or, you got a virus or something.

Thx man, well i acutally built this computer and have made quite a few over the years. One of the first things i did when i got back was check if the american security services hadnt broken it lol, cause they specially selected me (like i was a terrorist) for checks at the airport and opened up my computer, which i'd packed very carefully (we'll have to put that in the mod, 'innocent man wrongly accused goes nuts at the airport' lol). Anyway it seemed ok and i formatted the computer, and put all new software on including the C++ stuff we need. I know it's either the cpu or gpu, one of the fans has a bad bearing, which is either causing heat problems (although from my monitoring software they're not over-heating), therefore lag problems, or the actual processor is failing and having to draw more power, making more heat and making the fan go faster, which could i guess make the bearings go abit.
Got that 3D Mark to see where my system is lacking in power, but havent had time to run it yet. I'll sort it all out though, even if i have to buy a new set of fans, or even a new cpu/graphics card.

Yeah and i kinda agree with freshed, this time away from working on the mod has given a chance to look at some of the other mod sites and for example that 'no more room in hell' mod has a great movie download to advertise their mod, which has got me excited about playing it. Although there isnt actually any screen shots or anything about the mod in the video, just looks cool lol. All the mod sites ive been to seem pretty organised.

Instead of robbing this guy, they go to his house and try to kill him?

Well the house would definately be a more realistic idea.. I'd offer an urban chase... Like that you chase the dude thru the streets until he barricades himself in his house and you gotta kill him there..

Yeah, I was just planning to write something like that..
I though, he manages to escape when he tries to kill him in the house, and this assisian starts to chase him, and, well.. OMG!
I got it!

I though of this just right now.
The police notices this and starts to chase the assisian, so he runs into a store, like, T-tab (!!) and locks himself in and takes the man at the registrator as a hostage!

You like that don't you?

And he might even call for backup, like, with his cellphone, so some of the gang members tries to help him out and there will be a mayor fire fight and such..

It will be hard for you guys to get poeple because this mod is like all the other mods, a realistic swat teamwork shooter or so..

If you had a more interesting and original concept then more poeple would be interested since it would be different and new.

Offcourse most poeple like realistic crap but on the other hand look at team fortress classic and all those..

But if you can pull this off it would be great offcourse..

If I wouldn't have had any patience, I would have exploded by now

FresheD: For the last time, it aint swat!
It is an international special force.
SWAT goes in one country.
1. This "blue thunder" team is all over the world like rainbow six or something.
2. They are UN soldiers.
3. uhh,, something something, but it doesn't matter!
We're pritty different if you compare to these "SWAT" mods.
Even though I searched the moddb for swat mods, found only one (for HL2)
and that was SWAT Cats!
SWAT cats?
Seems like rubbish to me, but, oh well, might be fun too.

Still, it is far from blue thunder.

Oh right.
The training map I just started.
Here is my idea:
It is simple, a bit like boot camp at OP4, but still, far from it.
No climbing in ropes and stuff like that.
You're in a big training base and you can train on, what you want to.
If you don't want to train on anything, just, go to the exit.
There will be a shooting range, and, like, climbing ladders and the use of different weapons and, how to command troops (using C, like in HL2)

1 thing, we need a more advanced commanding system than in HL2.
I mean, even if you tell them to hold position, the run after you like, 10 seconds after telling them.
And the range where you can tell them to walk to is like, 5 "game meters".

Do you guys like the training idea?
