Strange.. No such entity in the HL or CS fgd. Where did you find it? :confused:
Anyways - info_ entities usually determine some property of the main entities and sometimes have a replacing brush entity.
e.g (func_hostage_rescue, info_hostagerescue)
They both do the same thing.

And in the future - refer to the entity guide for info on entities. :|

right sorry. i decompiled a map earlier and there were dozens upon dozens of point based entities.. it got so confusing.. and alot were info_triggers (which i had never heard of) im gonna go check the entity guide ^-^

Well, it's just something for entities (cameras, etc.) to point at. Serves the same purpose as info_null.

info_null is better to work with, especially for spotlight targets and such in HL1 as the entity is deleted but the RAD data would already be there. Saves against the ent count.
