I recognized parts of the map that were meant to represent some areas of blue shift, like that beginning torching area. The entire map depicts the soldiers being badly beaten not by aliens, but by a random secruity guard. Terrifying. Of course you cant go wrong with life's end style hallucinations

Depends on the distro. The one i've used before is Puppylinux and frequently used scientific linux @ university - it's very straightforward and fairly easy to use if you have a brain!

@rufee - That I know, but like I said, I plug it into any other PC, not readable or activate able.. It's like it just doesn't work, yet on my PC it's fine. It's literally the devil's doing.
@Instant - I'll try to check that out and see how it works. Never used linux before though, but it can't be that bad..Can it..?

So I tried using some apps people have suggested, thing is, it's got a MBR lock on it, since, I had my coding and 3d programs installed on it (a boot I used when taking the rig to work), but no, I still have access to all my data, I however think and feel like it'll be impossible for me to preserve and save the Operating system and that I'll have to once again, reinstall windows. I'd make a backup if I could but I only have 1 TB HDD's to backup to which my dad has used 750 GB up already.
The funny thing is, it works, yet, when I connect it to other PC's around the house, I cant read or activate the disk, yet, when connected to my PC, I can read the data, but I can't use any of those apps to convert it back to a basic disk as it's got an MBR mark on it.
Shit. Guess I'll have to wait till I get another hard drive to back up to..
Edit I also don't have the space or drives to install a Linux install as some of you peeps are suggesting..

Oh you just potentially sacrificed your files to the devil.
Whatever you do don't delete the dynamic disk. I would suggest backing up everything you need and then reformatting accordingly. There may be an option using Gparted on linux to restructure the partitions w/o losing data, but I never tried.

I'm also a 3DS Max user for the most part. I'll try out kHED and see if it's any good to my laptop. I didn't get used to Blender because it's just weird... and I was busy with other projects. I've also tried out Milkshape once. It's my least favourite, to be honest...
@Windawz & Loulimi A lot of folks in Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia watch TV. A lot of people on this world watch TV. A lot of them. It's just because they have nothing else to do, honestly. We, mappers, modders, skinners etc. have to be productive!
And normal gamers? Well... it's exceptional. It's like you're watching an action film on TV, for example, except you're controlling the protagonist and the experience is better overall. So yeah, at least you're giving your brain and hands some practice.

I am primarily a 3DSmax user, but Ive now used five 3D programs and Id say that kHED is probably the easiest and most intuitive for total beginners to ease into 3D. After that, id recommend going to other programs.

as in have you lost all your files?
If so, try loading it in something like puppy linux, that might be able to read some files. If not, CCleaner has some file recovery stuff I think. If you haven't lost anything, just use diskpart and maybe backup stuff just in case.

I've got a lot of projects, too. My Far Cry mod, for example. Then there are the mapping projects like Kobbl, my school map, my CS training map series etc.
My school map project is already 2 years old. My Far Cry mod was started last summer, and Kobbl was born (started development) on the 1st of January this year.
I find time for just one of them. When I get bored, I switch to another project. Right now I'm working on Kobbl, and this is the reason why I'm still up and working on it:
Over 2000 views and 800 downloads in less than a month. That made me so happy that I continued updating it, and now I'm making the fun_ version.

@DiscoStu I have an old CRT TV in my room, and it uses an antenna in that style. Except the antenna is external, not integrated on the TV. Still, it has those 2 big sticks which I can move around. :3

Nah I get it! I know what its like to have tons of projects going at once and often they'll be left behind or get lost in other stuff you're doing. Trying to focus on a single project can be tricky especially when you have so many ideas happening you want to try

Very nice! Loved the varied floor texturing, the atmospheric coloured lighting (although I'd say the end scene on the helicopter was a little too dark) and especially the intricate scripted sequences and the weirdness of the hallucinations! I couldn't guess what was going to happen next, which is awesome.

As a programmer you still can post snippets of code showing how you implemented a feature or post a general idea how to do it. While such proof of concepts or just code may get more to other coders, it gives rooks something to copy-paste (as a start for tinkering with coding), or give a base for experimenting (like, you posted the variable method for making a shield in response to Abbadon's thread. I assumed that it was made as a toggle-able secondary attack that sets boolean variable to true and an if...else that activates damage nullifying code when the variable gives true - something I'd want to check once I'll be working with hl coding, or implement in any other project in similat manner).
Also, if you need assets you may ask around TWHL or some other site if anyone is willing to lend you a hand, with reward being satisfaction and practise. A real enthusiast, rook, or someone with too much time on his/her's hands will sooner or later help.
Also, hopefully you know the proper technique on cleaning electronics.
About that screw, there's a method I always use when I face such problem. Use a nipper of this type:
And holy shit clean that mess lol.
Happy 22nd.
What happened to it?
1*2^4 + 0*2^3 + 1*2^2 + 1*2^1 + 0*2^0 = (10110)_{2} = 22
muchos gracias alles. next year I'm putting in some nasty formula
EDIT: Actually still 0 because the multiplication comes last.

I'm guessing it's not binary because of the "Rightmost number is 0*2^(0)" thing...
FUCK IT. HAPPY WHATEVER-TH BIRTHDAY!

Apart from that, KHED is a good software indeed. I used to use it, but I prefer learning and getting experience with blender instead.
