I haven't gotten around to making any more keyrings, but I have got more progress. Today we had a session where we had to have the parts we have so far laid out for some local model aircraft enthusiasts to look at and provide constructive criticism.
There you can see the fuselage (not yet fully fitted) and one of the wings. The aileron and leading edge were both 3D printed at the insistence of one of the technicians, but we're very likely going to scrap the aileron and make one out of balsa, as it weighs more than either the rest of the wing or the fuselage. It's a shame, as it cost about €200 to print.
Here's the fuselage. Only partially complete, with missing parts and no glue or fasteners still, it was able to support a container about half-full of water, so about 500g. The guest 'judges' seemed impressed by it.
However there's a problem we hadn't really anticipated; Since this year we're using LiPo batteries instead of NiCad (if I remember correctly), we have to carry an extra weight to compensate for the lower weight of the batteries. We had intended to carry the battery and the dead weight at opposite sides of the central boom, but we learned today that they have to be attached to each other. This means that they won't fit into our design without modifying it, unless we want the weight massively off-centre. We're debating whether to mount the battery outside, or to remove some of the internal structure to make room for it in the centre. I'm leaning towards modification to mount it internally.

Finally got past that. Strider's Jjapanese apartment is well thought and really nicely designed. IT ignited some sort of curiosity in me, like a thing long forgotten, about the unusual beauty of the japanese decor. Perhaps I'll try my hand at one of these too some day. The Gong was a really nice touch, but I didn't quite get the reference.
The roof action was intense and actually died two times. Unfortunately, something happened and a door got blocked, I don't know if this is normal but I've spent about 10 minutes trying to figure if I should go another way and finally just noclipped through it. The fact that there was an RPG waiting for me there and I actually shot down the helicopter using the rifle makes me think the stuck door was a glitch.
All in all, this was really beautiful and I sort of regret that I'm so busy and didn't have time to participate too.

In Atom's floor, you have to find all four of the cards for the computer, then pressing the button will open the way to the next floor.
As for how I created the effect on my floor, I don't care to just give it away. You're free to figure it out yourself though. Here's a hint: at no point does anything leave the boundaries of the level.

I played until The Mighty Atom's floor were I got stuck.
I have to say that although the styles are different, it looks like everything falls into place. Urby as usual is in the realm of Black Mesa architectural style, but that's no problem as it links the other areas well. I loved the Time facility! It was Jessie's, right? I was confused for a couple of moments until I understood what's happening, care to share the secret for the illusion?
In one room there was a big rocket-like structure with an interesting grate. I was disappointed that it did nothing :(.
People of TWHL never let you down when it comes to imagination: I've found a man shot in his head and a dead hooker. The visual style in many maps reflect the maturity of the skill and for a mapper there's always something new to learn.
Unfortunately I think I'm only half-way through the mod. In The Mighty Atom's map, I've got the keycard but it doesn't work with the exit door. Instead I can put it in a socket in the computers room that the scientist opens for you. But I'm confused as to what happens next since the exit door still doesn't open. Using no-clip doesn't work either.
5 stars for a mod that I haven't finished yet but it made me like it thus far. Another excelent piece of community work that helps establishing the identity of TWHL!

That looks interesting! Not for throwaway accounts, though. Because they're throwaway accounts. Could work well with Enigmail. If only the people I email knew what encryption is.

Get yourself an email at Proton Mail. Free encrypted email, it requires a kind of 2-step authentication: first into your account, and then to unlock the inbox.
The advantage of email security is lost if you send emails to providers like Google which openly admit of scanning the email. But it's not like we're not used to that...
I think you have to wait 1 or 2 weeks before you get your account, or maybe now it's instant idk...

Your password has to have at least 1 capital letter, at least one lowercase letter, at least 1 number, be at least 6 characters long, must not have your name, phone number, birthday, etc. in it, because hackers just brute force try every letter and number combination till it clicks.
And then the company servers get hacked and your password got leaked anyway

It's called Don Web. It was recommended by a friend years ago, they have pretty good features for a price that's affordable for a low-income person like myself (some $30/yr as opposed to actually reputable hosts like Dreamhost that cost closer to $100/yr). But I guess it's still my fault for hiring a cheap ass host from South America. At least I'm not hosting anything particularly critical.

It'd be more impressive if it was floating, though. Maybe you can invent some sort of anti-gravity quantum entanglement device and embed it in the keyring?

With the magic of laser engraving. This is how I'm thinking of making the design:
I plan on doing something similar for the one with my avatar on it. I could also cut them out and then glue them onto a backing material. I'm thinking of making two copies of the Black Mesa logo and then sandwiching a sheet of aluminium between them. That should help prevent it breaking as that one would be fairly fragile.

Take note that the landmark specifies placement in the level relative to the players position. Courtesy of Archie: In this example, the Player is Green, the info_landmark is Orange, and the trigger_changelevel is red.

Just so we know not to use them, what host are you currently with?
You might not know that David Bowie was an actor too. A great movie he played in is The Prestige, which I recommend.
Before I got to the reload part, everything compiled fine.
He was an excellent actor.
This is amazing. I want to see it working.
Galaxy Quest is easily one of my favorite movies. He will be missed.
RIP

He was a good one. I loved Snape
My college experience was nowhere near as hands on.
Well.. i blew up transistors and capacitors but that's pretty sweet.
Keep me updated!
