Can you give it another try? I just made the error messages red again so they might be more clear but double-check after clicking the button to see if you get any error messages. If it's still no good I'll work it through with you at some point to see what the issue is.

I have the same issue, I think most people do. I typically just stop working on it and choose a different project to work on. Eventually (a few weeks/months later) I'll get an urge to start again. If I try to force myself to work on it before that, I get nothing done.
...Though most of the projects I work on are my own so there's not really anybody else who is waiting for me to finish, that helps a lot

Thanks for understanding Trempler, I get the list of entries directly from the competition page, it's a bit difficult trying to keep track of everyone any other way. Sorry for missing yours
For the next competition I will make sure to post a list of entrants on the forum thread, so anybody who is missing can double check to make sure they are on the list. Hopefully we'll have the new website up by then which makes it a lot easier to see and manage your competition entry.

I've found that it doesn't work in windowed mode (or borderless windowed), you need to be in full screen. Aside from that it's worked in every game for me.

A motherboard upgrade usually happens because of a CPU upgrade - CPU manufacturers (especially Intel) love to change their socket every couple of years. If you do a CPU upgrade, double and triple check the socket of the new one and your current one to see if you need a new motherboard or not. RAM slots change pretty quickly too (they're up to DDR4 now I think).
Older motherboard chipsets also might not support certain newer CPUs even if the socket is the same - if you're upgrading the CPU, find the compatibility tables on your motherboard model to make sure that the new CPU is compatible. Sometimes the vendor provides a BIOS update that adds compatibility, but sometimes you need a new one. (GPU updates can be the same, but your GPU should be okay for a few more years.)

Eh, the only way (that I can think of) to implement a subtractive -> bsp process would be to carve, so it's probably never happening for GS/Source editing.

Hey, this looks relevant to my interests, especially since I've started working on Sledge again. I will watch it when I have some spare time I'm at work. Thanks!
Edit: Interesting watch. The ideas of creating geometry in Unreal/3DS are really cool. Will have to keep that in mind for Sledge!

Instead of building a whole new PC why not replace the HDD inside your laptop with an SSD? There are lots of advantages:
1. One SSD is cheaper than a whole new PC so you can get it sooner 2. You can use the same SSD when you build your new PC so there's no extra cost 3. A clean install of Windows will speed everything up. You have too much crap on there. 4. SSDs are faster. It wont help with anything CPU-heavy like compiling but it will speed up your boot times.

@Admer: Overshare much? I know you're young and still learning about yourself and the world, but perhaps you should consider being a bit more self-conscious on how much you say to random people on the internet.
@Stu/others: I kinda disagree with the general sentiment here. A tablet is simply a toy just like anything else, with proper supervision (as is needed with literally everything!) there's no problem with a child using one. But it seems I'm in the minority.

Layers type behaviour could be easily done with visgroups - you'd just need to be able to select an "active" visgroup that all newly-created items will automatically be added to. (I don't know if Hammer already has this option?)

@Stu: I believe I can explain. Player 1 is team chatting (default keybind = U) when he is suggesting "Go A", but player 2 responds in the global chat (default keybind = Y), and gives away the plan to the other team. The "facepalm" meme image is included to show that player 2 has done something very silly and player 1 (and other teammates) would be quite exasperated in such a situation. In reality it wouldn't do much because the other team would almost certainly assume that it's a trick. In fact if the other team is inexperienced this may act as an advantage as they might fall too heavily for the reverse psychology effect and swarm B, thinking that the other team is trying to trick them. It's only until a player gains an understanding of the double, triple, and even higher levels of bluff that they can truly realise that this tactic is a zero-win game. An experienced team will ignore any tactics that the opposing team broadcasts via global chat.

It's not US only because I used my Australian bank account I couldn't find any details on whether you can do it in Bosnia though. It is in the list of countries they support though, so it's worth looking at least!
But going by your link the "Teenage" card will do what you want. Google translate says that one of the bullet points is: "Buy products and services - payments through POS terminals at all points of sale in the country and outside the country..."

Before I had a Visa card I was able to link my bank account with Paypal. Basically they use normal bank transfers to transfer money between your bank account and your Paypal balance without needing to use a credit/debit card. You had to wait a few days for funds to get cleared, but it did work. I don't know if Paypal still offers that service or if it's available in your country? Worth a look if you can't use your debit card for online/international purchases.

That's bizarre...
It was a few years ago now, but my university had an intranet to host and share files. Each subject had a site and some were pretty crappy-looking, but any required files and teaching resources were uploaded there.
Facebook is probably pretty common for group projects these days (for communication though - not storage), but it wasn't when I was learning. We made do with Google docs and email. Every student had an email specifically for that purpose. For code-related stuff the school tended to give us an SVN repo, and everyone had some personal storage space on the intranet as well.

My OOP and unit test courses were in the same course as well, but they handled it really poorly, in my opinion. Instead of testing interfaces, like you're supposed to, they gave us some shitty code and some shitty unit tests and asked us to un-mangle them. I had a negative impression of unit tests for quite a while, it wasn't until I worked full time for a couple of years that I realised the proper way to use them and how helpful they can be.

Visual Paradigm, now there's a software I haven't thought about in a long time. That thing had a properties dialog that had like 20 tabs in it. From one of the tabs, you could open another dialog with another 20 or so tabs. Then you could open yet another properties dialog with yet another 20 or so tabs. It's a shining example of terrible UI design. This was 8 or so years ago though, I hope they've improved it since then...
They made us use it to generate Java code templates for a uni course I did. In the end it would have been 10 times faster to just write the damn code, but the tutor insisted using the diagramming tool was better somehow. Academic type people are strange.

It all sounds pretty good, but I'd suggest jumping up to (at least) a 120GB SSD. Even if you're just putting Windows/apps on the SSD, you'll really want to have that extra bit of space available. That goes double if you want to dual-boot linux off the SSD as well. It's not much more expensive, and it's worth it IMO.
Remember that some apps are pretty huge (e.g. Photoshop, multiple versions of Visual Studio, etc) and space can get used up pretty quickly.

The whole thing about banning people on forums for poor reviews is very common with people and companies who make games and are trying to do something shifty. Sometimes they are just crappy games, and other times they're doing something blatantly illegal or misleading consumers. Occasionally it's just a dev with a huge ego who is unable to handle negative commentary of their work. In any case, it's usually not a good sign. Glad you were able to get your refund.
What is with this 'The Core' rubbish anyway? Everyone keeps talking about it but it's not even good enough to sell for ten bucks on Steam, so it must be even lower quality than this Prospekt mod.
I bet the people working on it are more interested in their custom voice acting and fancy trailers rather than working on the actual mod. Their ModDB is dead as well, they promised a Q&A video a whole year ago and there's still no video. Seems like yet another dead mod if you ask me.

Good review. I'm not surprised it didn't end up to be very good, but I'm a bit disappointed. I hope that low-quality paid mods like this don't start wrecking the reputation of mods in general (free and paid).

It's somewhat unfair to blame the Steam system for this, instead you should be blaming criminals who buy stuff with stolen credit cards, and perhaps the credit card system in general for being so exploitable.
The 30 day delay was added because scammers were using stolen credit cards to buy Steam games, get the trading cards, and sell them off on the marketplace before the transaction is reported as fraudulent and they get a chargeback on the card.
Just hold onto your trading cards until you end up buying something, and then offload them all after that.

If I was going to get a Windows tablet I'd put the money in to buy a Surface Pro. No cheaping out for me! I would want something that plays games with lower system requirements (e.g. PS2 emulator, indie games, 2D/isometric RPGs, text/menu driven games, etc), and I'd want something that can run Visual Studio! The i5/i7 Surface tablets are more than capable of that, but their price tag is on par with the likes of the Macbook Air and other slimline laptops.

@Urby: It was very impressive hair. I can't stop thinking about it. My dreams recently have been very ...hairy.
@CapT: No booze, but I'm beginning to wonder if drinking a bit before upgrading PCs might not be a bad idea. My track record with upgrades hasn't ever been very good sober, so surely it can't hurt right? Flashing the BIOS was pretty easy, I just had to download the right file and put it on a USB stick, the BIOS software had a wizard thing that let me choose the file to use.
I also picked up an SSD and installed it yesterday and went with Windows 10 as well. My computer boots in 5 seconds instead of 5 minutes, it's pretty cool.

@Striker: In my case it's an online store that has a physical location as well. You can get it delivered, but if you're close you can save yourself $10 and go over and pick it up yourself. The store is like a 5 min drive from work so it's easy to pick it up. Interesting to hear that talking about beefy parts makes you moist.

Look, I know that this amazing hair sounds unlikely. But it exists. You will have to take my word on this, the guy threatened to call the cops when I asked him for his name and home address so I couldn't get a selfie with him.
1. Find an easy one from a previous year
2. Add a few years
3. Act smug

Also, going by your edit: get yeself an SSD!
- If you don't have an SSD, get one and put your OS on it
- Try reformatting to see if a clean install helps
- Go for 16GB RAM
- New CPU (may require a new motherboard too...)
I don't really know a good way to find the motherboard model, usually I just open the box and look for the model number printed on there somewhere.Example:
