If I remember correctly you can do something similar in Half-Life before the disaster, if you use impulse 101 to acquire weapons. It's quite funny to shoot them as they're walking from one place to the next, and they continue walking, look at a piece of machinery, then suddenly die.

XD
I'll give it another watch to be sure, (and also because it's hilarious) but you didn't even hit the tank with that last shot, did you? He just exploded from a shot the chest?

Or... you know... unless you're handwriting every brush and entity of a map in notepad, you could set an fgd file that would put them all on the list for you.

There's another utility. The entities that are used to be tied to brushes don't apper in the dropdown and so it can be convenient to copy it with one click. As you can see lazyness keeps killing me.

monster_bullchicken is the string for the bullsquid.A single click and Javascript put the whole string in the clipboard so that you just have to paste it in properties field which require it. It's very pointless because so far I only found one enities which could have use of it :O) it's the monstermaker, Type of monster field. http://samuel.dumont.pagesperso-orange.fr/file/entity.png What's worse it's only locally effective while it's html. An issue with the encoding impedes the web to run it as well. My lazyness kills me softly. Thanks Tetsu0

Odd looking heatsink. My heatsinks tend to be bigger. Though the newest heatsink I have belongs to a Pentium IV. Got a laptop after that. Haven't taken this one apart yet.

If physic engine smashes one's dream nothing stop the Dreamweaver. That lead to a vicious circle and eventually to the grave but with an ethereal computer and Half Life and the After Life mod that's a tolerable fate. I'll keep on knocking the world wit my Hammer.

I can't take this computer apart as officially it isn't mine, however in the past I have had to take my girlfriend's apart as she was getting warnings about overheating, and it would shut itself down sometimes. Lodged in between the fan and the heatsink I found a block of cat hair, probably about 2cm thick, which had formed into a solid and impermeable block of felt. It turned out she had been leaving it on overnight, and her cat would sleep on it because it was warm. As horrifying as that was, it was very satisfying to take all that out and get the thing working again.

Haha. Yeah I give it a visual inspection while i clean my case fans, but all this dust was hidden beneath the fan shroud. I couldn't actually see the dust. I try to take care of my machine but I think I've learned a lesson and will be more vigilant in the future.

Well to be honest, im only going on them since they were crap some time ago, pretty much get one if you need to see an image from your pc. That was 5-6 years ago. Since then they really have never popped up on my radar, maybe they are no longer the cheap-o monitor brand. Looking at the price difference it seems you are getting the same monitor for less money. Im not discouraging you from getting them.

It's based on the Quake engine, which is heavily documented. If you do a few minutes of research you'll find your base answer. Valve pretty much added Radiosity lighting to the engine, which is why it looks so pretty and colorful. So yes, many many MANY people know how lighting works in Half-Life.
Edit: Actually the lighting apparently comes directly from Quake II, so again, highly documented and the code is open.

Are they shit? I've never gotten anything from them before, I was just going on reviews. I haven't purchased yet, though, and you seem to know your stuff! No to the AOCs? PC Pro had this to say about them:
"Not content with serving up a 27in, 2,560 x 1,440 panel for less than £400, AOC has defied expectations by throwing in a fully adjustable stand and a three-year warranty as well. The combination of features and image quality is positively brilliant for the money, and only Acer’s K272HUL comes close at this price, with ever-so-slightly superior colour accuracy"(Source)
okay... So call me mad for even getting into this, but i am a COMPLETE noob at c++, I only know the basics and have been messing around with them in code::blocks... So, my question is, How on earth do you actually put this INTO THE GAME? All I have is the HLSDK files in a folder on my hdd, with no clue on how to compile it or whatever you have to do... Please help me! (Not really expecting an anwser tho.. Last post was ~1 year ago..)

Probably buy a good gaming monitor with shit colour reproduction but all the fancy gaming related quirks, and use\buy a IPS panel for your colour sensitive material, with some sort of a video signal switcher so that you don't have to have some convoluted driver related dual monitor setup that works for both.

I think that Archie should change basing his decision on what he really want to do with his computer, since he don't just play videogames. Archie, tell us why you want such a big monitor and what do you want to do with that one, then we will probably be able to help you pick a better decision. That's my two cents though.
I've discovered that glitch 12/13 years ago in the WON version lol.

Start with a box and a light - get it compiled.
Then make 2 boxes and put a zombie and a gun in there.
the rest is up to you!
What string and what bit of info?
I'll keep on knocking the world wit my Hammer.
As horrifying as that was, it was very satisfying to take all that out and get the thing working again.
(Someone please explain to me why I was lol-ing the entire time while writing that? What's wrong with me? EDIT: And why it's still cracking me up?!)
Mapping isn't too hard, once you have the basics down. Mapping a good map takes experience, though, and there's only one way to get that.

I clean my computer every 3 months everytime, so this won't happen.
Nice metaphor, but spelling and grammar needs work. B-

Happy for you Archie. :3
Dynamics sucks ass.
College math, on the other hand...
And yeah, it's primarily for screen real-estate for After Effects and Premiere.
