Just some random pics of effects / models that I thought might be cool to replicate for my CSGO map. There's some real nice creative moments in BM especially the way scientists die. I lol'd at some of them.

I'm now at 473MB again. It's a pity these don't download like Steam, where if the connection cuts off then you can resume it again later, rather than starting again.

I am leaving tomorrow for a two week holiday in the US, I won't be back until Thursday 4 OCT. Only then I'll even start the download. And tonight, I have to work!
So ATDestroy, no, you just need a week and a half. I'll be back in more than two.

I planned to get my hands on it as soon as possible, but I'll only be able to play it on Sunday - have to make sure my gfs cat doesn't jump out from the third floor while her window gets changed. No laptop, shitty PC unable to run Source.

Getting Win7 has been postponed a week. I just tried out HL2 in Ubuntu, it seems to run with some graphical glitches, and the occasional very small lag spike. The physics system works quite well, although the sound doesn't. Now for the internal debate over whether I should get it today or leave it a week. D:

But perfect for me :>
Anyway since my PC went to freezing town I'll have to see how Mesa is. Certain games bring out the freezing more than others. Either way I'm veryyyyyyyy curious to see the level design changes and the "artistic story moments" they've added.

I never understand people being hyped about stuff. Other than the feeling of wanting to play something immediately after buying it, I really don't see much point in having spent your time eager in anticipatipon for something that has yet to be completed. This mod has many years of hype surrounding it during development, but I just think that any sort of eagerness to try out this mod should only be felt when it actually gets released.

Not sure how I can get my hands on it, but a friend was tossing around the idea of going to his place and playing some Minecraft on the weekend, so maybe I can leech off his connection while I'm there and play it when I get home. I'd give him a copy of the installer if he wanted it, of course.
Then I'll play it as much in one go as I can without skipping meals or losing sleep, and savor all of it. Then I'll play it again.

I have a loooong work day tomorrow, and an early day the next day. Looks like I'll just dip my toes in the evening and then finish it Saturday afternoon. I've waited this long so I can wait one day longer than others.

I can't cancel my patients' appointments for Friday just so I can play a game at home. Some people have been waiting for three months to get their appointments.
I do plan to play it as soon as I get home though. I will take my time to play through its entirety, savoring each scene and moment.
You only get one first impression, and I plan to enjoy it to its fullest.

I will be starting the download as close to 15:45 as their mirror's capacity allows... then leaving my laptop on all weekend to download it. might get to play it by tuesday if i'm lucky.

I'm not really sure if I should download it when it comes and install it, or just wait until my new computer gets here and play it on that.
I mean I only have around 2 days off before I get my computer, and I'll be spending them making sure I know how to drive sufficiently to obtain my license. So not much gaming time to speak of.
Ill probably just wait, and enjoy it to its fullest on an actual day off. I will probably finish it in one sitting in that case.
I'm at 0.0% 0kbps. I'll be unplugging my computer in few minutes.
So. Much. >:|

A very happy dr. Kleiner:
Every texture in game looks to be carefully bump mapped. A lot of textures feature detail textures. This mod looks wonderful.
Awsum graphix!
Im now at 300kB/s , uploading at 150kB/s.
Pick a game mode that doesn't suck! The map looks great but I want to be able to actually play it, rather than endure it.
This is so lame.
5% downloaded in 3 mins.
Happy again.

Massive trolling.

There are only 2 gamers in my office, including me. The other, our tech, has an elaborate plan which would force the office to close early.
"We'd only lose Friday afternoon's business (aka. none) and we'd be home in time to make a cup of coffee before starting the download."
Seriously though, when 5pm rolls around I will be heading home with my foot on the floor and my wipers on full.
