Death from a sprained ankle? What a way to go.
Also Garfield is pretty swell, if you want to have a good time (and who doesn't) you should look up "Garfield minus Garfield" and prepare for the laughs

I think its funny that people like Archie and Jessie often make cynical or sarcastic comments to what Admer says but Admer is so chilled that the comments just bounce right off him haha

learning music doesn't suck, man Music is a way to turn emotion and thoughts into something audible. It's a creative way to express something. The connection you can have with music is unique!

sorry if I gave away any spoilers by mentioning the vent I'll have a look at the changes - nice work though you could continue to add to the puzzle with new stuff as you go!

I had fun with this! I could only figure out how to open the first vent though so I ended up noclipping to find the secret. I liked the lights and design but it would have been nice to have some ambient noise in the background

I keep finding recent comments from Potatis, Jessie and TJB on peoples really old journals. I think you people have a hobby happening here, or maybe you just have a lot of spare time?

haha nah I don't think I'm going to do anymore work on it, as you've mentioned there are bits of old design you can find if you no-clip around the outside of the map - there were gaps of several months between when I worked on it, so my ideas kept changing. Actually playing your mod Military Duty recently is what motivated me to finish it. So to me its complete!
Saying that, I could always upload the RMF if people wanted to check it out though...

A quick run down in answer to your Q, Jessie, basically England was a part of the EU which is a group of European nations that get together and have trade agreements and stuff but also have connections with foreign policy and how immigrants are dealt with. So for instance the EU could tell UK to open their borders to accept whatever illegal immigrants come in, like what France or Germany has been doing. But if UK isn't part of the EU they can do whatever they like, including not accepting or processing, but deporting illegal immigrants, like what Australia does. But if they leave the EU this can forfeit a lot of trade agreements therefore affecting the economy. Someone that lives in Europe may be able to provide a better explanation!

Loulimi makes a good point.
Actually in Australia we've been turning illegal immigrants away for years and years yet we're still a massive multi-cultural country and there generally isn't a 'xenophobic' attitude here either. AND we arnt even part of the EU!
You folk from the northern hemisphere need to calm yo farm!

Archie - Yes, bad as in its predictable. I mean, a puzzle doesnt have to use the dynamic environment for it to be fun, but whenever I knew whenver I had to figure out a puzzle I would jump straight to assuming it had to do with physics.
Urby - I know what you're saying... I think maybe I just spent too long playing HL1!
Instant - Thats what I mean... But a game like Doom 3, which was hyped on dynamic lighting, I didn't always think the levels had dynamic lighting for the sake of dynamic lighting, even though the game was exploiting that feature. It was more subtle?

but the puzzles are cleverly disguised! I was coming at it from an angle of the original Half life - I can't just shoot a turret to destroy it like in normal HL, I have to tip it over somehow. But yeah, the other puzzles - I don't just go an open a gate normally to get my hovercraft through, I have to release a girder hanging on some chains to break the gate open. I mean, a game like Dark Messiah which also used Source had some physics bits but I always felt like they were more subtle and less exploiting.
I mean, I loved the puzzles in original HL so when I get a puzzle in HL2 its usually like 'Ok I probably have to do something with the gravity gun, or use the environment around me in some dynamic way'
In your last map you credited her for giving you ideas and advice?
On the other hand, it is Friday night so I've got that going for me at least!
at least I don't use Bigpond
