You certainly nailed texturing in this one. Excellent use of default textures, indeed. As an older map, I'm sure you're well aware of any faults, but let's go.
+Great implementation of default textures +Nice contrast in the lighting ++Breakable, glass windows add a much needed element of strategy to HE arena maps
-Lacking finer details and elements of realism. EG: It's all walls; how did the players get in? ---No ambience!
The vending machines also seemed out of place, like they were put there just to break up the map. It really would have added to the map to see some doors, vents, generators, or other elements that you might find in such an environment.
Would you mind if I ever decided to make a quick sort of remake of this map?

I have to disagree with Captain. Don't be offended. I get the feeling TWHL as a whole has gotten far too lenient with dishing out 5-star ratings, and I still firmly believe 5 stars should mean "holy shit".
+Pretty lighting, indeed. It could have done with more contrast, but I'm not dinging you for it. +Clever texturing -Generally pretty brushwork. Knowing to break up the monotony with that sheet metal roof was clever.
-Buggy ladders; I got stuck on them a lot, especially trying to go back down. -Lots of misaligned textures on the floors and walls. ---No ambience. That's minus one star for me every time.
The thing is, this is a very generic map. That's fine, I'm not saying it's bad, but at the same time there's nothing really special about it. You've got good lighting and clever texturing, but it's still the same old Iceworld layout with the the tried-and-true industrial/ghetto theme. It's not that these themes can't still be phenomenal, but without any ambience and frankly "average" brushwork, Parkett is just the same sort of map CS players have seen a million times over. I can't stress enough that it's not bad, it's just not special.

Play Blue Shift second. Opposing Force starts about halfway through Half Life, while Blue Shift starts at the very beginning of HL and ends about halfway through.

They've had hell since Halloween. I started playing in mid December. Also, there's no practical point for going into the Nether. I thought maybe it would be a good source for cooked pork, but then all the pig people attack you forever if you attack one of them.

I really, really, really wanted to like Minecraft, but I had mined diamonds, obsidian, iron, and gold all within my first 4ish hours. Within that time, I had enough diamonds to build 4 diamond tools and a diamond helmet.
After building an underwater biodome, I just began getting frustrated at having to deal with the shitload of mobs that seemed to be coming endlessly from this mammoth cave that I STILL never could finish completely lighting with torches after a week of exploring.
I quit after I backpedaled into a 1x1 square of lava, losing all my diamond equipment and, of course, everything that I mined. I'll wait to see what newer versions bring. As of right now, I'd rather just build a Goldsrc map.

Xbox live is $50 a year, not $50 a month.
The general consensus seems to be that Xbox is the best if you like online games, and PS3 has the better SP selection. No PS3 game has a large, long-standing playerbase like a lot of Xbox games do. If nothing else, go by this rule of thumb.
Look into games that you're interested in playing, then find out if they're exclusive to one console. You'll get your answer pretty quickly. Can't think of any particular games? Head over to Gamefaqs or somewhere similar and look into the top 10 games for each console.
Or if you want to cut the bullshit and not think for yourself: my suggestion would be to keep your Xbox.

"if i had to go through that I'd just fucking jump off a bridge or something, she's very brave to go through with it." Look at it this way: either way, you end up with a broken skull
Congratulations to her, Rim. The surgery DID go well, right?

Edit: I just clicked on this journal thinking it was mine, wondering what I could possibly have posted. God dammit.
