And mapping for SP is okay, but mapping for MP is really fun

It was about as sarcastic as I can possibbly get without cussing in public, getting myself arrested, locked up in 2 straight jackets cuz the 1st one had bad buckles :P

@ Tetsu0: That's what the "&& m_pevCurrentTarget->avelocity != g_vecZero" is all about. At least that was the idea. I found another line elsewhere in the code comparing a vector to g_vecZero so I simply borrowed that idea and duplicated the "if ( m_pevCurrentTarget && m_pevCurrentTarget->speed != 0 )" from the section above. I figured it should work, but obviously I'm missing something.

Possibly if the field is blank in Hammer, the avelocity value is not zeroed but nulled. Possibly g_vecZero isn't what I think it is. Possibly a simple "!=" comparison between vectors (or, uh, "Vec_3D" structs) doesn't work the way I think it does; my C++ is a little rusty and I've been spoiled by too much PERL! :-)

I'll dig a little deeper and see what I can find...

So I still don't get it,

Was the "THANK YOU VALVE!" sarcastic, or not?

TJB, Tetsu0 already beat you on Compilator advertising. He knows what I'm talking about.

can you include a case string that tests if the new speed is zero to not change it
or even have a no change thing coded in there?

Episode 2 has the best entities for an offical SP game, but CS:S has the whole real-world thing...the real question is... do you want to map SP or MP?

Would you guys say that it ould be worth it to halt my ep1 experience in the midst of it and go right to ep2?

Had I remembered to comment on the map itself, I would have said that the second sky looks nice, but it would be a good idea to let the player see it from good vantage points, like in the second screenshot, lest it go unappreciated.

What's the new skybox name?

I also do prefer the new look. Good stuff.

How much is Penguinboy paying you Captain Terror?
Or are you trying to shame him into giving you stuff?
...

I like that idea.
Use the Compilator, and Muzzleflash will give me cake!

Yeah I was gunna mention that, you need to throw something in the background since it looks a little bare, but apart from that I think it looks awesome.

I prefer the new skybox, good job.

Captain Terror: It's just compiled with HDR (Episode One engine and upwards).

Madcow: Thanks. About that sky though, there is more to that sky than you can see in the image, and I really do think it is much more suitable.

Clicky

There's a shot from a higher perspective, should give you an idea how the sky looks. Should also show you just how much it needs a skybox. :P

For some reason I can't see the After image. :<
The Before image looks awesome tho D:

Edit: THERE! Now I can see it.
I like the old sky better too! But perhaps the new sky fits better than the other sky on different parts of the map?
I like what I see anyways. :>
You should finish this until the next Valve update :o

No no no it's not fullbright im not newbie just pich is set to 90 deegres ;)
in this screen you should see that this is not a fullbright (look near the box)
http://www.mapping.xz.lt/uploads/awp_glif0003.bmp

For the default skybox texture:
If i will find something with snow i will replace ;)

next time screens will be in jpg ;)

Looks fullbrght to me. Do you have any lights or a leak that you don't know about?

And the default skybox texture really needs replacement.

And finally, try uploading jpg screenshots next time. Jpg's are smaller, and load a lot faster.

I'm afraid I'm going to leave it with the darker one, Daubster. I feel like it suits the deep lighting a lot more. When you see the whole outside area, you'll notice there's a lot of industrial light sources around with give the area just enough light, but where they don't provide light it gets pretty dark. Plus the blue just contrasts the hot red interior so much more, gives it a nice cool feeling.

Awesome stuff, though I'd say stick with the skybox in that previous screenie. I know it isn't as contrasty, yet that soft violet tone works so much better with your time of day.
