Yeah most doctors seem to be pretty impersonal when delivering bad news, but i guess it's better that way so you can do your job. I could never do it...

For a moment I thought it was another one of your medical trivias... TRAP! Medical stuff bothers me... I would make a terrible doctor. At least your on the light side of the force.

Had trouble figuring out the sliding door - tried all the wrong things. Finding and opening this file I now can make sliding doors with absolutely no problem 5*!

Yep. that glass is my pride for that map. I've used curves whenever possible for architecture, Not much into gameplay yet, as most of the screenshots are from predisaster maps. I also used texture lights, but I will get colourfull lighting later on...

You aren't by any chance building on a one unit grid, are you? Because that will seriously screw with you after a while, and all the textures get misaligned and stuff.
Could use less boxy architecture, but honestly if you've got outstanding gameplay I could care less about how it looks. Might I suggest more colorful and darker lighting, though? Everything's so bright.

second last pic would be a zombie pounding on a door. And note barney stuffed in a vent. (That took me a half a day to realize I needed to light up the origin :D) EDIT: resized the pics, hopefully the pixelation won't show up on the page. (I used the original screenshots converted to .JPG, any ideas why they're pixelated?

If you can't tell what's happening in the pictures, then just use your Imagination! [/gay]
Although to be honest, those pictures are fine for judging the general architecture of the areas. The only problem I have with them is I can't tell what's going on in the second last picture.

You can't see what the textures look like because there aren't enough pixels. They look like they just use five colors each. We don't need glasses. What we need is that software they use in NCIS which magically gives images more pixels.

Better too small than so big they change the wideness of the page. I MAY make them larger, since I have the original images backed up in a folder on my desktop, but not right now.

K i know this compo is long past, but i'll leave you some comments anyway, since it just played the level.
The textures and architecture are very simple. I can see from the screenshots this is how the original game was, but i think it would be ok if you took liberties with the original design, to make it more interesting to the player... it's just too blocky and boring.
I would make the "coin" thingies 3-dimensional objects... they just look too weird as 2D in a 3D world. Same with the invisible clips, i understand why you do it to simulate the 2D environment, but i don't think it works well.
I was going to make a 2d metroid mod similar to what you're doing here, but i ran into many of the issues you're running into here.
The sounds for picking up the coins are cool. I would add some game music in the background too(was there background music in the original?).
The scoring counter and the minimap at the beginning are neat things, and nicely done.
This might actually work better as Flat-Life Game for Chickenfist's mod! = )

Why is there snow on the road? Did the authorities go into hibernation when it started to snow? They must have sanded the roads by now, too? The past few years there hasn't been much snow here, but 10 cm have never caused any trouble. Fascinating how a layer of snow can make a country fall asleep.

Actually a friend did that at their university. It was 7 ft long.
I'll be honest, I rolled the base and the shit would not stick so I started forming a carrot body by pure accident and then well...The tits were already there somehow so I just added a groove and nipples.

All this news about snow in England and the East coast of Ireland is annoying. We've had nothing at all on the West coast. Looks cool though. The snowman reminds me of the one that my friend made on our school tour to Italy. Of course I only found out that it was made of large blocks of ice with a bit of snow on it after I'd headbutted it over.
Medical stuff bothers me... I would make a terrible doctor. At least your on the light side of the force.
Oh, and you're welcome. I enjoyed 'watchig.'

She lost her head by the way. She's still the same to me.

Better played with 10- player ^^

Looks cool though.
