The objective of Half-Life 2 is to reach the end - complete the game, beat the challenge and get enjoyment out of the experience.
WoW on the other hand is about the grind - about doing the same repetative tasks often enough to increase your 'level.' Once that's done, you repeat the process. 70 times, each time taking longer for no real gain other than massaging your throbbing e-penis by being able to say LOLOLOLOL I HAZ LEVEL 70 PALADIN MONK FISH WARRIOR CAT

Not looking to start an argument Hunter, but a video game is a video game. There are definitely people that spend the same amount of time on each game. I don't play wow but I have seen it ruin some lives and it most likely ruins a lot more lives than hl2 does. I'm just wondering why you would call out wow as a time waster when both games lead most of the users to nowhere in the end.

Then play it, Half-Life 2 is great, really. I waited 3 years after its release before playing it because I thought it didn't look very fun, but now I know that it is.

I know series is the correct word, but really series sounds stupid. Serie makes a lot more sense to me. Like you say a group of episodes, not a groups of episodes.

give the poor fella a break damnit. how about i trundle over to your first maps and have a go at them? besides, judging from the shot the lights are pretty good and the hallway is not bland. i think they player is meant to not have a HEV suit, and play 'keepings off' for as long as possible... ?

Incredibly artistic and well laid out map, despite (or thanks to?) it's hugeness. It really is gargantuan, which is one of the main charms of the map. The style and feel of the map is awesome, with the swirling structures, steep walkways, grated pillars... I loved it.
We tried it tonight with a nigh-full TWHLDM server (we were 7), and it was a lot of fun. Admittedly, you have to be quite a few to enjoy it... when the server was just me and Urby, we ran around for minutes without seeing each other.

Yes me too, i think they did a great job on making it fun. All you really do is spawn a platoon right on time. If your going to play the germans then spend some XP on getting the reinforcement time slower, it will give you a upper hand if you use a officer on the frontline!

One more thing , in the future you should include a ".res" file ( if you don't know what's a .res file then ask about it in the forums ) because you have some custom resources ( I already did a res file for this map because I like it and I'll play it on my server )

you mean one of your last maps
[EDIT]
I don't know what other people will say , but I really like this map . It's simply too beautiful for some reason for me ! The only thing I have to comment about is the size . It's more like a fy map to me ... And you could have added more cave intrances and that kind of stuff . I don't know how many stars to give you . I'll give you 4 because the of the map size and expectations .

get your figures right, Skals.
The horrible time-waste that is WoW in fact had 9.3 million players at last official count in November 2007. It's been almost a whole year since, so we can safely assume the number now rests around 10 million.
If only 100,000 people played HL2, let alone 10,000, Valve would go bankrupt.
The Sims 2 sold 1 million copies of the game in 10 days.
You live in a very large world. Around 8 million people live in your home-city of London alone.

A speed restriction sign I made for KCGM (The company operating the pit) appeared on screen for a whole half second. Nothing to be excited about. ;P
"i gave you an example"
and 9.3 million is not the correct ammount.
I have seen some full-bright maps playing on some deathmatch servers.

Amazing work, both gameplay and architecture-wise.

Great job.
Sveikas atvykes. :>
9.3 million is about how many dedicated plays are playing WoW each day...
Lost twice.
Nice one
i forgot about the skybox so i left it default.
EDIT: look for secrets places in the map where is a he granade
