For goldsrc, load the .lin file in hammer 3.5 It will ask you to load the default pointfile, click no and select the .lin file, it will give you similar results as shown in this tutorial.

I'm going to watch this movie for sure. I've always liked the noir style in Batman, even if some of the movies are pure garbage. This one looks pretty promising.

wow impressive specs.
2.5 Ghz + 800 fsb = superb
Is the geforce 8800 still a better gfx card though? (i thought the higher the second number in the model number shows how strong the card is?
Anyway that system is bomb. i disagree with srry and Ant... laptops are the only option in my book. If i had the extra money i would buy a pimp home system too, but if i can only have one i choose the laptop.

I agree the gameplay is quite fun--though i godmoded and impulse101 through most of it--, and i didn't experience any errors such as hotdog mentioned.
It seemed like a gameplay/layout/effect testmod than any coherent level for most of the maps, but there was some very interesting design in some of the maps, as well as a few neat effect tricks like the blinking light in the dark room where the marines are shooting you to simulate muzzleflash.
I played all of version 1, and i stopped playing version 2 when i couldn't figure out what to do next (even with noclipping).
Anyway, this was not entirely unenjoyable to play, heck, it even gave me a couple ideas for effects, which is nice.
Hope to see some moar levels from you with your new skills hopefully.

I was about to reply to this journal and my mac laptop started smoking. Turns out it wasn't the laptop... it was the stupid plug. That thing is done, but I have another one. Anyway, I just wanted to ask how much you paid for that?

My sentiments would be the same as Ant's. Too many people these days buy ten pound laptops with 17-19 inch screens and never move them from their desks. By the way, what's the manufacturer?

"Nipper is a very famous mapper (but not really that good) who made plenty of fun maps, which all just had this fantastic feeling to them. Most people here would hate him."
he knows doing fun maps, but he definatelly doesn't know how to make a serious map. de_westwood was a very good map, but it's the only serious one that is good. I can do some of his maps on 30 minutes, my opinion is he's just a kid who wants to have the max maps submmited on Fpsbanana.

Fantastic movie. There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already.
Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Nice.
I'd have said you should avoid it because I do the things I do on XP and it messes up loads.
My suggestion is to keep the amount of stuff on it to a minimal!
thats all i need from maps
Sure hope you had a reason to buy a laptop and not a desktop.
