Striker is on to something. Seriously, what a douche. Bragging about how much better he is at mapping than you and then asking what texture lock is.

It was kinda disappointing after HL2. And it has nothing on EP2 for sure.

Definitely needs some texturing work there.

I think (c)Striker he was implying what an outdated technology it is.

I disable System Restore just to be safe.

And potatis I agree, ubunutu is an awesome way to waste your time away toying with an operating system with next to no support that will take months to learn to use properly. I'm sorry, but I have much better things to do with my time than grow a neckbeard. If that means having to reinstall my OS every two or three years, so be it.

I don't know how I got it except I turned AVG off for about a day and in that timeframe it picked it up. This thing redirected me to a spam page every time I tried to go to any website, and it blocked AVG from accessing its update servers. Spybot mysteriously stopped working altogether.

I don't think it did any damage to any of my files, viruses usually don't spread like that for me.

Baby killer. You'll burn in hell along with your child for creating a mindless killing machine. Considering that the average gamer is a borderline sociopathic killer, I can only imagine the horrors that will arise from this little expiriment of yours. Less harm would be done if you'd simply given your son a gun and told him to shoot at everybody he saw. I hope for his sake that he will find the error in his father's ways before it is too late.

Sincerely, Jack.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the windows broke at all at first, but I kept on throwing grenades at them when I saw the portal and they eventually gave in.

Glad you could use my textures!

The map's got really awesome rock terrain that's not visible from screenshots at all. I felt the squareness of the main structure was just too overwhelming though. It's just a really strange map, it's got a kind of old-school inventive spirit you don't see much anymore with everybody shooting for ultra-realistic urban settings and such.

I think the problem with him being elected right now is that in the midst of America's new liberal circle-jerk we'll all become so unjustifiably satisfied with our president that we won't even care what moves he makes, and anything will be acceptable after the fucked up regime everyone just lived through. In other words, we're so used to a bad president that a sub-par one is now enough to satisfy any random guy. Let's hope the next four years is better than I foresee.

Trapt is right, your college is full of lamers.

There were two guys dressed up as homeless 'nam vets at my school... they each pushed around a shopping cart filled with trash and would actually go around picking junk up off the ground and throw it in there. Occasionally they'd get into a fight over some piece of trash and clamor around on the ground for it.

I don't see how a Grand Prix could be a better car than a Trans Am. No V8, FWD, heavier, poorer handling, etc. Well, if you're hauling people around it's a different story...

Oh god, not Altezza taillights. They might actually look okay on that body style, but $220 is a hell of a lot to spend on cosmetic parts.

The one thing I hate about buying car parts on ebay is that, since the majority of them are large or heavy, they will absolutely rape you with shipping charges. Thus, even our local overpriced pick 'n' pull junkyard is cheaper most of the time.

By the way, thanks for the link to NeweggMall... I had no idea that site even existed. :S

You heard engine knocking and you seriously thought it was your supercharger? :S That's gotta suck buying a new one for no reason, but at least that won't go bad for a while now. Do you know now what the affected area was exactly? I'm curious myself.

By the way, I like that car you have. For some reason I can really appreciate performance editions of the regular cars you see driving around every day. Makes things interesting to have family sedans beating the average old Mustang, but most kids only care about having something flashy.

And Luke... superchargers belong EVERYWHERE! :D

Uh... wat. This is not a problem. It's not an error. And Hammer 3.4 is TECHNICALLY more solid than 3.5 which is a beta. Even as rusty as I am, I can still remember that I'd always set my brush based entites manually by just selecting the type from the drop down list in the properties. Because it's not like func_wall is the only one in existence, even if you do use it somewhat commonly.

Edit: Oh, wait, I get what you're saying better now. But does hammer by default have that as the solid entity setting? Because I never changed it myself. But yeah, the worldspawn entity is that one that I only ever accessed by going up into the map properties or some crap like that. I don't remember it appearing within my entity list any time. Maybe you've got a different FGD than the standard one I was using.

"They Hunger 1-3 are horribly overrated mods in my opinion"

Well strider, I can assure you you are in the minority with that opinion. The whole series got incredible reviews and reception pretty much across the board. Of course, so then did Azure Sheep, and I remember absolutely despising that about a third of the way through.

Yeah, I check that every now and then... The last update was still way back in February though. I can't imagine anyone actually paying for it at this point, honestly. I mean, back in 2005 I'm sure a lot of people would have been fine with paying for a mod that had such a strong following and reputation, but by now it's been what, five years since they released They Hunger 3? Most people these days have probably completely forgotten about how great the originals were. If they don't hook up some kind of deal to get it distributed over Steam, I don't think they'll be making any money off it.

Of course, I'm buying it when it comes out. ;)

My sentiments would be the same as Ant's. Too many people these days buy ten pound laptops with 17-19 inch screens and never move them from their desks. By the way, what's the manufacturer?
