Well actually, first generation Escort GT's like mine use their own unique high output engine that you can't find in any other car. Except for the block, everything else is different between the regular and HO Escort engines, so it's not going to be too easy. Searching in online junkyard databases, there's only a few of them within reasonable driving distance in California.

Dude, you think you have it bad... After all that work I did on my engine, for unexplainable reasons, it has now decided to burn ungodly amounts of oil and coat the spark plugs with it. I'm going to get a cheap used engine from a junkyard, get it in there and registered, then rebuild the original with high compression pistons, a milled head, balanced bottom end and smog-delete everything. I'm tired of screwing around achieving the equivalent of plugging a dam with bubblegum (High Mileage 10-W40 and Lucas Oil Stabilizer, you get the idea.)

I wear a pair of raggedy torn up Sony MDR-V150 (the generic looking studio monitor headphones) that in conjunction with my X-Fi XtremeMusic produce incredible sound. They used to hurt my head after only half an hour, but I guess my skull adapted...
With all the noise on our street, my 5.1 surround speakers kind of go to waste. Headphones make you feel more involved.

Geh Tetsu0... I have no money, and I still have to get this thing smogged. Although one of my first purchases was a higher performance ECU that I still have sitting around. That was before everything went wrong. Paint would be the last thing on my to-do list, if I was organized enough to have a to-do list.

Seems like most models tend to float to the ground when stuck in brushes, or in odd situations. Those prefab gray metal shelves, for instance, will do this to any items spawned by the crates on them.

I'd recommend that instead of disappearing Gun1 with an env_render and disabling it with the multi_manager, simply use a trigger_relay's "kill target" field to permanently delete Gun1 from the map. You use less entities and then you don't have an invisible func_tank to run into.
But what really bothers me about this process is that you can literally walk right up beside the grunt and begin firing your own invisible gun, all while the grunt is still in control of its own func_tank. I haven't found a way around this, since func_tankcontrols apparently cannot be targeted (they have no name field), and thus cannot be switched on and off with a relay.
I rate it four stars because the method is sound, but it's a bit messy for my tastes, and it leaves something to be desired.

This is the first competition I've seen that actually encourages quantity over quality. I hate to detract from stuff like this, but it just seems like a bad idea to encourage people to make 10+ entries, unless I'm completely missing the point.
