Excessive fanboy.

In any case, FPS and action games (unless they're mindless platformers) are practically unplayable without a mouse. Yes, that includes the steamy pile of crap that is Halo. Seriously, you can't do shite with a clumsy controller and some over-sensitive analogue sticks.

Your <-> you're.
There <-> their.

Yeah, 3rd party clients like BitLord are unnecessary afaik, just do as Daub said--or just google search and tack torrent on the end of it.

Just use the default BitTorrent software for download/upload.
Lolz rowleybob is stoopad. Probably an opera user at that.

And yes, it is a valid fact that uTorrent is the best BitTorrent client around.

Low resolution graphics wise? What are you talking about? Not if you have an HDTV, and even without one it still looks good.
Gaming at 640x480? This is 2006, god damn it. And HDTVs are expensive, who has one anyway?

Console gaming is only good for the local multiplayer games, which is hard to achieve using PC (although it can be done). Other than that, honestly, consoles are overpriced toys. I might get a Wii a couple of weeks after its release, but that's as far as I go.

Heh, wonky is an understatement. Did I see a SATA cable there (the red one)? Disconnect everything except the 20/24 pin ATX (this one) cable, if you hadn't. Can't really see properly in the video.

I'd say your Motherboard is b0rken.
Oh, by the way, tried resetting your BIOS settings using the CMOS jumpers?

Stands? He's not talking about stands, he's talking about crossing two pins with a wire to complete a circuit that would otherwise have to be completed by a possibly faulty power button.
You did misunderstand Exos, Srry. He said that the term "mobo" means ("stands for") motherboard, he's not talking about (noun) stands.

Also, use the [ pre ] tags for diagrams.

As for your problem, I dunno :P. If it completes POST (the beeping), you can figure out what's wrong by some clever Google searching.

"Gone gold" is not the same as being released. "Gone gold" means the game is done, the final version of it has been completed, and its awaiting distribution. The release date is usually a couple of weeks afterwards.

As for the game... ugh console :P .

Ugh.

You know the case's power button? It's wires connect somewhere on the motherboard.
The little pins that they connect to can be activated by touching both of them at once with any metal object (screwdriver ftw).

Connect ONLY the PSU and motherboard - nothing else - then try activating those little pins. If the PSU starts spinning, you win. If not, either the PSU or Mobo are b0rk.

in Motherboard, power supply, or both dead Post #201685
Try connecting only the PSU with the Mobo - no case wires or anything. Then activate the power using a pencil or screwdriver or something by touching the 2 power-trigger thingies (the ones that the case power-on button go to (I really don't know the lingo)) and see if anything happens. If it lights up, it's not the mobo.

Oh my god WOW that's so different and you can totally tell since the wall painting is totally black!!1 Extraordinary!
According to Christophe Gans, the change is because it was impossible for the actor to wear the helmet from the game. The basic design principle of the game's designers is still there; they wanted the helmet to appear painful to wear, though in the movie this is derived from how it looks rather than how Pyramid Head acts.
Happy now?

Definitely one of the scarier game enemies I've seen, and I haven't even played the game. It's just so absurd... and faceless.

You can solve this by removing 1 unit of height in the ground where the trigger_push is, thereby making the player "fall" for 1 unit. That should push him up.

There are hundreds of WWII games (and any other war) out there, you don't see family members of dead soldiers getting hurt, right? Sure, this tragedy was a bit more recent, but it shouldn't be a problem. It's not like it propagates terrorism.

RotatorSplint: It depends what the picture owners have to say about it. If they specifically allow you to use them, then yeah, you can - if they say you can't, or there's no note about it, you should assume it's illegal.
I quoth from the site;
You can use the textures in your school projects, to make CD sleeves, posters, in movies, in videogames etc - anything where you have added your own artistic effort.

You cannot use the textures for anything that directly competes with us. This includes, putting the textures on your own website, selling them, or giving them away. This restriction includes the textures themselves, as well as any minor modifications, for example, you may not make our texture seamless or tileable and then sell them.

in Great Source for Custom Textures Post #201245
You do know using these images as textures in your own maps is illegal, right? Even if just for personal use, you don't have license to the images, unless specifically noted by the author.

I recommend the WikiMedia Commons. Free-licensed, high-resolution photos of.. anything, really.

LOL QFT ^^. Opera and Firefox are both good browsers, leave it at that.

NineTrine, you're so confused I don't even know where to start. It would really help you if you actually read the entire thread before attempting to reply.
First of all, the Opera we're adressing here is the web browser Opera, not some shitty Half-Life mod.
Second, stop whining about steam. It's just tiring and no one cares.
Garry's mod 9 is still available for free (last time I checked), so whining about Gmod 10+ costing money is just retarded. Please stop.

IIRC, ten thousand dollars. He also called his idea "A Modest Proposal", tainting Jonathan Swift's work with his bullshit.

The (I think) most interesting game that was made from this "challange" was I'm O.K., a quite charming game where the player takes the role of a parent whose child was killed by some allegedly crazy gamer. You know the rest.

You sir, mr. arcan, need to listen some good rap (yes it exists) with meaning to it, something that is kinda rare in AMERICAN MAINSTREAM RAP.
QFT. Believe it or not, you narrow-minded shitbags, there is deeper rap than "I'm more gangsta than yo momma" (allthough the Arcan seems to appreciate that kind of music) - rap with political undertones, near poetic lyrics and awesome beats. Saying that beats are mostly the same repeating drum sound is like saying classical music is just the same repeating string, piano and trumpet sounds.

And Freshed, you should've stopped posting after Trapt's first post.
