Only problem is you cannot see the models in the editor. Since HL2 is so model based, it's very difficult to do much.

How about another comp idea.

A mod makes a buggy map, and the idea is to optimise and fix it as much as possible to get the most FPS, while still preserving the maps layout and look.

With quake3, I could be you all with 0 fps.

Just put 2 mirrors facing each other so they reflect off each other, and bam, quake3 lockup.

I would never trust windows to keep track of the appications memory resources. Ever wonder why the machine gets sick after several days of running, this is why.

Xp was a huge leap in the way to fixing this, but they still got a ways to go.

No, the very definition of a memory leak is memory lost by the appication. And I really wouldn't expect windows to be able to clean it up.

Ok, we need order right now, before this gets out of hand...

Seriously, most of you are acting immature. The only way we're going to get though this is with silence. If you don't have something that is either helping or reporting news, then please, shut up. This goes for everyone, including the mods.

I don't want to see any friendships broken by this.

Water_lod_control tells the water when to change to cheap water. So if you have a large enough body of water, like a lake or ocean, after a certain distance from you, the water will change to a cheaper version of itself. It helps save on FPS.

I'm liking this conversation, good practice ground for witnessing :)

Anyways, I agree with Captain P, Christianity is a personal relationship with God. It's your choice to go to him, and he says that he will forgive you. Ever sence I accepted him into my life, I have been different. It's become very hard to do any wrong, I can't even lie very well anymore. Every time I try, I get this sinking feeling, and it's usually enough to cause me to think twice. This is more than a believe people, this is real.

You guys have just said a bunch of things, and again, did not base them on anything.

First of all, not, the bible does not say you can own slaves. Find me a passage in the bible that does, and I will believe otherwise.

Second, to put it bluntly, yes, he is very forgiving considering our subborn nature. What if you had a dog that would disobey you at every moment? What if it bit you and tore you down? Would you keep it? I doubt you would for very long, but god has chosen to keep us for as long as we have existed. He has endured hundreds of years of hate and stupidity, and has never looked back and thought that our creation was a bad idea.

Thirdly, have you acuatly looked at people's moral compasses? Would you not agree with me that everyone makes dumb choices. Some of them are dreadfully short of common sence. What makes you so much better than everyone else, that you can trust your compass to noot screw up? Don't trust in yourself, trust in God. His stance has never changed, and the prove of that is in the Bible.

Fourth, I also fear God. Why, because he is so much more powerful than I. I do not fear that he will harm me, but I respect him greatly.

Hmm... I glad that most of you when to get to the subject of religion go straight to degratory comments. If you have an opinon, will you at least try not to put other people down as well?

First of all, when you get to the subject of christianity, you must realize the many branches that christianity has, and that most of them have gone off of what the Bible acuatly says and have made their own relgion out of it. The Bible states three main points.

1. God exists, and loves you.
2. You have sinned, and there is no way for you to ever be forgiven by your own means.
3. Jesus died for one purpose, to make a way for you to be forgiven by God, and thus be accepted into heaven.

Thats it. That is the entire point of the Bible, the rest is there to prove to you the three main points above, and to guide real christians along in there lives.

Next time, remember to get your fact completely straight before you bash something.
