This is weird.
I just wanted to upload a video to youtube when I saw this information:

"Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads longer than 15 minutes. Click the Upload button below to select a video. "

Umm, ok, this is nice. But how did it happen? Do you guys know of any conditions that are needed to obtain this? Because I don't, I don't know what I did to obtain this facility :\.

I've collected a few videos from the internet with DIY launches into space. Well, near space, but it's still amazing!

The Mighty Atom will love these :).

This really just makes me want to build one of those things. Unfortunately idk where you can get helium balloons like those around here...

Today, 1st December, is the official celebration of Romania(the union of all the 3 romanian states: Moldavia, The Romanian Country and Transylvania in 1918). Lots and lots of military parades in the country :).

Free day of school today. Yay for me!
Tomorrow I'll go to english olympics, but since my english is horrible I don't expect to go further from the local stage. I do it more out of sympathy for my teacher :\.

[EDIT] In other news, I just made a facebook account. Meh :\

[edit] Posted on my blog about the upgrade. Info, benchmarks and some pictures:

http://sjackm.wordpress.com/2010/11/27/pc-upgrade/
I just upgraded my platform today.
I changed the CPU from an Intel Pentium D935(2007) 3,2 ghz to an Intel Pentium E6500(2009) 2,9 ghz. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P965-S3 rev 3.3. I had to upgrade the BIOS to the latest version.

Results?

-from 120w in idle my PC now consumes 83w
-from 42 seconds for 1M in SuperPI to 19,5 seconds
-temperatures are quite the same, but the cooler was greatly reduced in size (and doesn't have a copper base, like the old one used to have): about 35 in idle I think

I also changed the original cooler from my Gigabyte Ati Radeon HD4850 with an Arctic Cooling Accelero.
-from 79C in idle and 89 full load it's now 38C in idle and 61-62 in full load.

I just ordered an Intel Pentium E6500. Although the name might sound familiar, this belongs to a newer family of processors, codenamed "Wolfdale". E6500 appeared in Q3 of 2009. I also ordered a new cooler for my Gigabyte HD4850, Arctic Cooling Accelero Pro. I expect my temperatures to drop by at least 25C(it stays at 80C in idle with the stock cooler).

That's why I actually started that SuperPI benchmarking thread, to observe how it compares with other scores. On some sites I saw it was capable of calculating 1M digits in 18 seconds at the default clock, but maybe that's on a clean windows install. Anyway, it will be a lot better than my current CPU.
Better power consumption and efficiency(E6500: max 65W, Intel PentiumD935: max 95W).
I will make benchmark my pc again after I'll install them.

[UPDATE!] Made a review for my camera, Nikon CoolPix P100:

Well I just made a blog about photography. I'm not a photographer, one of my passions is photography.
I just felt the need of opening a blog about this.

I made a video for my english project.
The project is about making a product advertisement advertise to a product, and I thought I could make it a bit funny :D.
Unfortunately, the sound is a bit distorted. There were strong winds blowing.

Tomorrow I'll must give a speech in order to support my candidacy for the president of my school(sort of) :|.
It's funny because I had the option of not participating at this, but you know what happens when you refuse and the teacher wants you so much to participate ...

Tuesday will be the "elections" =)).

Wish me luck. I hope I won't screw myself up when talking in front of the whole fucking school.
[EDIT] Someone just suggested me to imagine everyone in front of me being naked so I won't be inhibited. Now I hope I won't laugh like a stupid in front of them.

Ok, I saw Soup Miner's journal and decided to join too(through Soup Miner's referral link, so you own me one bro' :D).

So as he said, my chances of winning such a l33t gaming gear set are increasing with the total number of referrals.

Trolling physics...

->[EDIT] Also, I just won a copy of "Stalker: Call of Pripyat". I really hate the physics in this game, and especially the "instant-duck" ... not mentioning the recoil. For some reason, I feel the recoil is better in shadow of Chernobyl.[/EDIT]<-

Something really bad happened in Hungary, a neighbor country.
An ecological disaster :/.

This stuff is so toxic that it can melt\burn skin(it has diluted NaOH in it and lots of other toxic substances). The problem is that the sludge is now heading for the Danube...

Right now I'm writing from school. I'm at an informatics class. They installed new computers! (yay, I guess)
Well, the old computers were running on windows xp and were about 6 years old. These new ones have windows vista installed on them(although we have computers with windows 7 in the library).

The old computers had 17' CRT monitors, these new ones have 19' TFT wide format monitors, but unfortunately the computing performance isn't a lot higher. The old ones had 256 mb of ram and a 1,6 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 processor.
These new ones have 2 ghz Intel Celeron processors with 2,5 GB of Ram(and integrated video card...).

The problem is they are a bit slow, but still, it's a lot better(my eyes don't hurt anymore), and the classroom has a more... modern feel :D.

I also installed code::blocks on my pc :D :P.
