My parents left at 5am today to go to America for a week, so I'm home alone which is the equivalent to a good holiday for me! I get to relax with friends and alcohol all week, and a potential girlfriend.
I'm starting college a week today too, so I've been diving back in Logic Pro 8 to get back into the swing of things since no doubt the next two years will be a lot tougher.
Making music and sound effects for a mod I'm working on called Pipe Dream will be fun and helpful.
My parents think I've been acting differently for the past month or so, so they confronted me about it two days ago, long story short they think I'm depressed and have bad ideas and that they don't really wanna go on holiday because they would be worried about me. It then took me two days to convince them that I'm fine and that they should go.
Apart from all that, I have a spot on my ass and I can't sit down properly.

I have been diagnosed with Acute Bacterial Tonsillitus. Definitely the least fun of all the ituses I've had so far.
Due to my unconfirmed inability to take Penicillin, I've been given the anti-biotic Cefalexin and have been taking the advised 500mg dosage 3 times a day at regular intervals for 6 days now, and have had virtually no relief what-so-ever.
I have also been on Paracetamol to deal with the excrutiating headaches.
My tonsils are still inflamed, and there are still masses of pus lining the back of my throat.
I suppose this goes out to Satchmo - since most cases of tonsillitus are completely symptom free (aside from some swelling) by the end of 1 week of treatment, why do I still feel so crap?
To everyone else, yes it really is as disgusting as it sounds.

My anti-biotic regiment is now over. I have had little to no improvement. There are now large black spots covering a large part of my left tonsil. There is also some light red spotting on the roof of my mouth.
I think i need to see a new doctor.

Huntey is being taken to the emergency room at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The black masses in my throat are abscesses.

That was somewhat anti-climactic. I have merely been given more powerful anti-biotics, and have had a swab taken. The hospital doctor was unimpressed at my GP's decision to give me Cefalexin, which he wasn't surprised didn't help. There is no evidence that I am allergic to Penicillin, they just don't seem to want to take the chance because my dad's allergic to it.
He also suggested that the reason it's taking so long to clear up is due to it actually being fungal rather than bacterial. Not entirely sure where I could have picked that up from.

Completed Driver's Ed (Pre-Driving thing we have at school) today and I went well too. Out of 30 I scored 30 for automatic and 28/30 for manual. 2 points lost due to changing to the wrong gear two times .__. Although, that's pretty good for a first time driver. 
I came across this news report that's happening in Europe that is apparently causing an uproar among children's parents. I am not going to say much, just that when I first saw it and read it, I cracked up laughing right away. I am not really sure, so I will let you all tell me if they are making a bigger fuss than what it really is:

My car fixed itself. We drove it from our house to my auto shop, billowing smoke all the way. The next day I start it, and it's running fine. No smoke from the exhaust, and the spark plugs somehow un-fouled themselves. No burning oil. I guess miracles do happen.
EDIT: I take that back. I just drove it again, and while it isn't fouling the plugs like before, and it isn't spitting out coolant, it still burns way too much oil, necessitating a rebuild same as before. Shit.

Okay, so it's been a few months. I really havent gotten a whole lot better with my guitar. I'm starting to think that if I dont get lessons, I won't get much better with this thing.

I saw Inglorious Basterds opening night, on my birthday. Truly a great movie it was.

People appear to complain about how long my journal entries are ("longest in the history of TWHL's journal entries) or something like that. In order to subtly point out the fact that my entries are merely just "light reading", compare to the article above, which basically is about a dude ranting about how a beloved mod had died and was forcibly taken from him.
And believe me he has alot of pent-up energies to let out.
If you actually read the whole thing like I did, then you might as well scroll down and read some more: the comments, which offer alternative interpretations of what may actually have happened and expose possible biases that the narrator had. Despite what you may have thought before, the Half-life community is still well-stocked with drama of this sort.
NOTE: Please do not fan the flame war there on this here website. I don't know anything about that mod.

I was watching TV this evening and they showed a man CUT IN HALF by a truck, alive, talking with the cameraman. They showed the scene, but of course it was pixelated. After some short googleing I found the actual footage.
