I love the presents I got this Christmas! I got a pair of boxing gloves, kicking pads, and a pair of new running shoes!This is me putting my boxing gloves on.

Now I'm all geared up to win that gold medal in kickboxing competition I've been training for.

On a side note, I gave my sister quite a bit of sweets for Christmas, then the next day I took her down to the park and made her do hardcore exercise for two hours till she couldn't stand anymore, made her work off the fat I made her accumulate

Edit: My Christmas tree is more like a christmas shrub. Who likes my shrubereh?

I just got a set of Audio-Technica ATH-T500 cans.

I literally cannot put into words how good they are. It's like I'm rediscovering all my music for the first time. The dynamic range is so, so wide and the sound is so open. Best cans I've ever owned.
Best cans I've ever experienced, in fact, and I've tried some that cost a considerable amount more.

SO COMFY as well and the noise cancellation is unbelievable.

Been experimenting with Source again today, mostly focusing on making ragdolls do less falling to the ground and more Hollywood dives.

Ladies and gentlemen, my new special place:I just bought a Philips 23" monitor, and as I was trying to find a place for my old monitor an idea struck me: why not use them both? It's funny that this desired form and performance of my desktop took 3 years to develop. Little savings, little upgrades here and there... Patience is a virtue. Although a HD4850 and an Intel E6500 might seem old, that's what the money gives me access to.

This might be useful as I just cooked a mod idea and how I will handle it in train trip today( things like these always happen when I get bored and the imagination starts wondering around...). It's nothing sure though, this mod was supposed to see the light of the... hammer months ago, at the end of spring. And it never happened. I just have the idea and have to work on it. Only a seed that needs to be grown...

Now about that monitor: It's a W-LED 23", 1920x1080 res, 5 ms display. In some respects, my old monitor seems to be better. It's either that or I got too used to it, but I have the feeling that the new monitor is not showing quite natural colors, although photos, videos and games( I played Portal 2 at 1080p, wonderful!) look good. But hey, at least it only consumes half of my monitor and weighs waaay less. The cost? Almost 150€, savings of about 5 months.

So, as you may all know, Steam is having it's usual massive Christmas sale and there are lots of games, coupons and coal going around.

Now this is all well and good unless you're like me and have a habit of already owning lots of games that you are getting the said vouchers/coupons for.

So I want to get rid of them, but I thought why not take the opportunity to have a bit of fun and put them up for prizes for a mini-comp. Mini-comps have always been good in the past.

This will probably happen on January the 2nd after the christmas sale. I've got a few ideas in the mix but if your interested or have an idea, make a comment here.

I'm using a modified version of Dignans's 75-year Plan to plan my Contest 32 map. I think it will be very well-suited to level design with some very minor modifications.

I bought Portal 2. At 5 euros, I couldn't resist.

[EDIT] Aaaaaaaaand it seems that my Steam Holiday Gift was... *drumroll.... Portal 2! Awesome! Now I can play it with somebody(really sorry guys, but I have friends ).

A guy I often work with has a daughter. She just turned 15 and they threw a party. I was invited - to work for free. Along with 2 other photographers. Yes, this guy is a cheapskate.

She isn't very interesting. Her friends, on the other hand, actually were. You'd think they were 18 or something. 2 of them were drop dead gorgeous. But I boast a charisma stat of about 1, so I couldn't think of anything to say and went by completely unnoticed. I guess that'd make me a master of stealth.

It wasn't my camera we were using so I don't even have photos to post.

I then dreamed of overhearing the name of one of them was Julia, but that's about all that happened. Overhearing. You just know you'll die alone when even in dreams you don't try to get the chicks.

It's like passing by a Mercedes agency, knowing you can't afford one, and then dreaming you're told the price while still not being able to afford it. It's funny in a screwed up way.

Oh well. She was too young anyway.

Edit: Why am I even posting this? It'll make me come across as some sort of pedophile. Damn. In my defense, they weren't 10. They looked more like 19. I lost interest in 15 year olds by the time I was 17.

Edit 2: As a photographer I work with 15 year olds all the time but they never really grabbed my attention for the aforementioned reason. This one was just a looker. I'd prefer: a 19-20 year old with those looks.

My son Scott insists on sleeping with a headcrab every night.
