Yeah, I guess I kinda work for 3DRealms now?

Still very much early days but yeah. I was approached by the Vice President of Slipgate Ironworks/3DRealms and offered a level designer position on their unannounced FPS. Had a quick interview with the lead devs and... yeah, a week later was told I was in. Waiting on my first tasks now.

I'm also working as a level designer on Core Decay, which I can talk about a little at least because it was announced already.
Been working on that since last weekend and getting some good feedback from the project lead...

It's all a bit surreal.

Congrats on the gig! Core Decay looks very cool, and Unannounced FPS looks very unannounced.

wowee how cool!

Now that you're in 3DR do you think you can chase up the Duke Nukem Forever 2001 build for us?

Thanks, guys. I give myself a few good weeks to screw it all up. :D

That's out of 3DR's hands at this point. I believe you need to take that up with Randy Pitchford.

Woa, that's awesome! Core Decay sure looks like a very nice retro FPS, I can't wait to try it. Please post an announcement here when it will be ready, I'll surely forget by then.

Maybe after you get some professional experience you can come back and tell us, or do a vlog about how level design is done professionally and how having worked with Hammer for years has helped you transfer your skills there, comparisons etc.

I've been trying to hide your immense talent from the world for years; very annoyed to see it got out there.

Sounds like you'll be working on some pretty cool projects. Congratulations!

So... that nuclear sign in The Core Decay's logo... getting 3DRealms' attention was the plan all along, right? ^_^
