That's odd. That's the erroer you get when you try to spawn a monster that's not in the map, but all items are precached at startup. Try removing the dlls.
I stumbled upon my old game project today. I remember trying to use hl textures in a 2d game, and when I ran it I saw that t'was looking pretty good so I decided to work with it a little and got a working map with explosions!

Firefox is also slow for me..It takes an additonal 10-15 seconds to open the browser...Adding /prefetch 1 to the firefox shortcut speeds launching up alot.
