and use terrible, carved, downloaded prefabs scaled down much smaller than their original size.
How about another comp idea.

A mod makes a buggy map, and the idea is to optimise and fix it as much as possible to get the most FPS, while still preserving the maps layout and look.
That's actually a really cool idea.

everything except the glass and the vents looks great, urb...

for source, dont use a texture with a rendermode = texture.
use a glass texture which is already transparent. it'll look better. then make it a func_breakable_surf.

Dunno what you should do about the vents.. they just dont look right

i was up all freaking night long last night, creating custom textures and custom sounds for my map.. and its not too bad... not too bad at all.. Still needs a lot of tweaking, but the basic layout is there.

Slight problem though.. its about 8mb large (custom sounds.. lots of custom sounds)

you and me both know that if you leave, I will turn into a psycopath due to lack of a target.
It would be awsome if you coptimised people's maps. although i'm sure you'd get bored of it rather quickly.
Texturing on the other hand, you are as good at that as you are at mapping, so maybe a good idea would be to take requests..

whatever.

Just stop with the drama queen thing. you are better than most of the mappers here, but people do tend to get defensive when you openly state just how damn fantastic you are...
yeah.. dont leave.

Well I'm not good with modelling but if you need a texture / skin artist I'm getting into that at the moment.
I think Rimmie has proven on more than one occasion that he is damn good with textures :)

I'll maybe try a random idea generator and counter-map or something.. they're pretty useless but sometimes they give a spark
