I disagree...

Source mapping lays everything out nice and easy for you.. you dont have to do detailed brushwork, you just insert a model... etc..

after pwning BL, i can tell you. he doesnt hack.

anyways, moving on.

Muzz, get rid of that god-awful super-dark map... the server was almost full, that map came on, everyone complained about light for 3 mins then left. now server is empty.

And, until you get AMX installed, can you make a temporary admin? somebody who is on the server a lot.. <cough> HINT :P

there needs to be a votemap system, muzz.. i mean really NEEDs to be one.. for example, when tp_sacrifice goes on, and you're not around to change gametype to teamplay, it really doesn't work as dm

anyways, i cant beleive frenzy is an official map. its got so many bugs to do with the light fixture placement.. about 10 lights i noticed were not touching walls or ceilings.

In QTkRadient, when you use the hollow tool, all the brushes that are created intersect each other so you have to go round the whole thing sorting this out. A lot of people dont, and it creates split faces, perpednicular alignment and causes the 2 face effect where its almost like 2 faces are fighting for superiority of that place.

But thats QTk, why am i mentioning it here? Because people often make brushes go through other brushes. Doors for example.. It happens a lot when people are too lazy and use the carve tool instead of the clip tool.
but it doesnt matter what shape your brush is - even if its a simple square - a brush that goes through a larger brush will cause horrible split faces, will increase r_speeds and may create the 'line effect' where you can see where 2 brushes cross paths.

Just dont be lazy. Sort these little buggers because if you dont, they can turn into horrible compile errors (texture axis perpendicular to face, anyone?)

true... it looked okay in 1024 x 768.. not very good at all in 400 x 300.

Saco, if you still want to participate in this mod, then you're gonna have to work side by side with Daubster.
I have only seen the first, like 3 minutes of Daubster's opening map and I already beleive (that with a bit of tweaking) that its a better sequence when the scientists escape...

Since you and Daubster both had troubles about making all three maps (you.. well, whatever happened. And daubster coming on in the last month) maybe he should do map one, and you do map 2? you can use the map you already have but get rid of the sci escape sequence...

also, the blur is really over-used and the kneeling pose when he picks up the gun is pretty bad... appart from that, nice one!

christ, people like you REALLY piss me off. Elon & Daubster are trying to HELP you so stop agrivating them. And don't expect us to solve all your problems when to be prefectly honest you're acting like a total ass.

func = LOWER r_speeds

entities are easier for VIS to handle, also RAD doesn't bother with them so you're map compiles faster. This probably won't fix your problem but its something to know.

As for your main problem, actually bother to READ what ZL posted. It's pretty clear to me.

Now, one of the good things about having dm_twhl on a server's map cycle, is that i always get feedback. So expect this map to reach V3 pretty quickly.

A few of the things you'll see in V3

1) sprites on the teleport pads to make them more obvious

2) more brand logos changed to fit TWHL members

3) Pepper's avatar in the snark cave

4) more func_walls to get rid of ugly 'line' shadows.

5) breakable parts on the circuit boards

6) more batteries & 357 ammo
