srry maybe if you clearly stated your opinion.
Wow, you're impressed easily. It's nothing but a a couple semi-transparent images sprinkled on top of an eye. unsure - :
You make it sound like it's bad because no leet photoshop skills were involved.

in Opinions on BioShock Post #232851
I have been playing bioshock lately (PC). I think it's a great game, I am enjoying it more than I enjoyed HL2. I kinda laughed when I looked at some wood panel walls and they were as reflective as mirrors, but it's kinda cool I guess. It's a great story also but I won't get into that (you just want opinions right?). I guess I am lucky enough to be able to play this game the way it was intended (full graphics with out lagging at all) keep in mind that affects the way I see the game. If you have a good computer and weren't to buy this game, I would think you are putting it to waste.

I must say I had much fun using the farsight and laptop gun from perfect dark, but we all gotta admit the farsight was too fucking good. I mean for those that don't know what it is, it's an alien sniper weapon which has auto aim and can see through walls and shoots through all walls and allways kills in one shot. oO

Simehong2000 you can download it, calm down. You need to sign in (sign up free) and just click on FREE PUBLIC SERVERS, then you MAY have to wait a while to download it. I use file front in Australia and get 150kb/s and thats good for my connection 1.5mbit.

in Global Warming? More Like Global Dumbing Post #227543
I can relate in a much much less serious way, I was just going to get groceries when there was a fire next to the supermarket, it wasn't very big, about 5 meters squared and around 7 high and nobody was endangered at all. I just thought that someone else would deal with it and that I couldn't do much and I didn't even have a phone.

I wonder if that's what these people thought too, (I am referring to the first article) but that dumb broad who just took a picture on her cell phone and still didn't help is the sickest by far, that in my opinion is somewhere around just as bad as stabbing the victim in the first place.

I understand, so that your chance of having the disease is 1/10000 (.01) BEFORE you take the test. meaning that if you took the test, and where told yes, what is the chance that you have the disease NOW.

right?
Posted 17 years ago2007-06-12 08:55:53 UTC
in Paradoxes Post #224983
What is the actual percentage chance that you have the disease? <- the question

You said that the disease affects 1 in 10,000 people. The chance that you HAVE it, (that is not whether a test says you have it or not) is 1/10,000.

according to my logic.
or .0001

To me, the test isn't even relevant to the question.

Can you explain to me where I was mislead?

in Paradoxes Post #224840

I like you Idea Kasperg, but feel that if you are using hierarchy so that LONDON stands out, you should make it more symmetrical (LONDON that is)
but I am not very artistic. I am the kind of guy who always centers the focus of a photograph.

and by the way, are you sure that isn't the paralympics logo? heheh, bad joke.

It's called the birthday paradox.
a statement or proposition that seems self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I say it's a paradox.
Posted 17 years ago2007-06-10 09:37:16 UTC
in Paradoxes Post #224832
Here is a nice paradox. How many people are needed to make the chance more than 50% so that two of those people have the same birthdays, (not including years, duh)

The answer is 23 people.

So if you have 23 people, there is a greater than 50% chance that two of them have the same birthday.

Once in a counter strike final I was the last person left against the last terrorist and he planted the bomb and I killed him, easily with enough time left to defuse it, I foolishly tried to jump down from the rafters killing my self. I pretty much gave away a grand or two in real money because of that game. My friend were not happy.
