Anime is so crap! It gives the illusion of good animation and skill, but in fact it repeats animations, has MANY flashbacks, and has 10 minute talking sessions with a head still, and a mouth just doing 2 animations. Open and closed. Anime is crap.

Halo 2 as a competitive skill test game?!! That game has so much auto-aim that your crosshairs are your actual screen! Whatever your looking at gets hit!

Actually, I think CS 1.6 is easier to kill people. CSS has more kickback, and takes longer to recover. I still play CSS though. Fantastic graphics and overall feel!

DOD:Source is pretty cool too. I like the new direction they took it.

Its always good to consider both options. Its hard to make a final decision, but taking a look at all the options doesnt hurt. Philosophy in my opionion teaches more than religion. (Even though some philosophy is religious)

Well, Einsteins whole proposals and his unfinished theroy of everything was to prove gods will of the world. He believed that anything was predictable, and nothing was random. His theroy of everything was to read gods mind. He died before finishing it.

Its amazing how we know how our brain works, what all the nerves do, but we cannot explain consciousness. It shows that humans are more than the sum of their parts. There is something else not yet explained. Something we don?t know. Humans always fear what they do not understand?..

I don?t believe in organized religion either. Too many Popes and people making up MAN MADE laws of the religion. I do believe there is a god though. Too much things a little too perfect in this world?

The earths perfect pitch and angle of rotation to be perfectly near the sun. Nature and balance. Gravity, water, etc?.

I don?t know what I exactly believe, but I do think the Bible is a giant metaphor that covers up the science of creation. Think that there is no concept of time to god. Most stories could represent his hand in creating the cells of evolution. It could have been made to appeal to the majority of people ignorant to cells, espically before our time today, which in comparison is a short period of time compared to the rest of time. Hence my refrence of no concept of time.

Maybe God created the cells for evolution to occur. MAybe adam and eve story is a metaphor to show the development of man. "Took him from the earth" Refers to cells from the earth evolving? Maybe metaphors were used because people all over time cannot conceive the idea of cells until now...... The bible was written without the concept of time. Perhaps the metaphor such as Adam and Eve was written without the concept of time. The firery gates which lock up the Garden of eden. Maybe that means the proto plasmic pool from which we evolved is buried under a volcano? Think about that............

Anyone play the multiplayer map DeadWood on FEAR? Its an outdoor map thats looks amazing and is not dark at all. The engine is superb to look at.

Just beat the game BTW. That last explosion was so cool. That was a video game moment to remember. Last level was scary too.

Perhaps your text file for the targa image in the custom textures folder is improperly filled out?

And you say its not a prop texture? Hmmm....

Leaks sometimes cause that too. Also sometimes weird lighting improperly used.

Man, FEAR is very fun. The slow-mo effects and sounds pull you into the experience so well. Its more fun than scary, but thats ok. Sometimes though I wonder if it could of ran better with optimization. I mean some parts seemed like the whole level was rendered at once. I wonder if other FPS games implement the techniques Valve uses for mapping like area portals, hints, func_details, etc. (Of course they arnt called that, but similar to optimization)

I saw this on the news. I think thats a mental disfunction. Even if he was lonely and alone, a sane person would never think that. Just reading your post makes me shutter. Go to map, load pointfile in the menu bar at the top. Looks like your light entity is leaked, or you need to seal the world. Find the leak, seal it, and recompile.

(Helpful hint: To find multiple leaks fast, turn rad off, and turn vis to fast.)

Hey, dont think its bad PTS, its not. The graphics are amazing, and has tons of cool effects. The parallax mapping is quite impressive also. Looks like there is really depth to a flat object. The gameplay is very addicting, just mediocre mapping. Its 4.5 out of 5. Dont pass it up.

Yes your right. I dont think anyone becides a mapper could find fault in FEAR.

Sigh, its the same corridors everywhere, and nothing unique. Plain hallways after another. At least DOOM's halls had some architexture in them, and were unique. Maybe comparing FEAR to Source is unfair

Just got F.E.A.R. yesterday. Its ok. Im running everything on max, and it looks sweet, but the great graphics mask the bad mapping. The levels are too square, and not detailed. The superb bump mapping and dynamic tone mapping with reflective properties mask that. Its cool, but no HL2. The mapping is generic, common, and not unique. People's Source maps here outclass FEAR. The game gets a 4 out of 5 for the graphics, but they really crapped out on the mapping It is good though. The water shaders are excellent, and puddles reflect the world with almost perfect reflection

Hey, the Spartans were hardcore gay, but they were the greatest warriors known. At the battle of Thermopylae 40,000 Spartans held off 300,000 Persians for 5 days. They were helped too by the geography. A narrow rift between 2 mountains. The Persians were forced to displace into smaller units to take on the Spartans. Very interesting. The Spartans ONLY had sex with men, and children, and only reproduced for the population, but they were the greatest warriors ever known.

I never played Garry's mod. I was about to download it, but now I have to pay? Even though its only ten dollars US, it doesnt seem worth it. IS it? Cant really say since I never played it.

WHat this does do is give hope to 3rd party modders everywhere. I do hope though Fortress Forever doesnt do this.............

Yes that is correct ZombieLoffe, but before Europes invasion, Greece, Rome, Britain, France, Japan, etc were signifigantly more developed. Now when I go to older games that I used to play, I see all little things only a mapper would see. Ive noticed that CS xbox has misaligned textures everywhere.

Also, HL2 SP does that, plus has many overlapping brushes. But who cares, HL2 is the God of games.

On another subject, Ive realized that any PC problem someone has, 9 out of 10 times it was a BIOS update problem, Virus, or some problem they did themselves. I never thought so much people were so illiterate of computers. Always thought only old folks were capable of this ignorance.

Ive been in so many servers since the CSS update (added HDR to de_dust) and all the players have no idea what happened to the map. Everyone complained it was too bright, and it looked different somehow.

Everyone I play with has no idea what their computer stats are, dont know what RAM is, and have no idea what any PC related thing is. I have no idea how they set up CSS. DO all CSS players care about is seeing the enemy PERFECTLY?

I know people in CS1.6 who turn their brightness up all the way just to they can see people in the shadows.............

Cool idea, but I think you should be able to create the map from the ground up. Just the most well made map post destruction.

It would be cool to have a Half-life/HL2 movie, but you really cant. It would be too weird to hear Gordon Freeman speak. You would have to find some ingeinous way to make the movie, and never have him speak.

Wow, a multiplayer only game turned into a movie? FALSE! No movie game has been anywhere close to good (Doom maybe was average) Its so false, its not even funny. Take video games with actual storylines as movies.

Torture: We never torture, EVER! Our democracy and government (does have flaws) is the most logical and efficient. We never kill on sight. Many soldiers were killed in Iraq because they were not sure if the enemy was a civilian, or soldier.
