do you mean just create one brush and make him get stuck inside it? Does that even work?
Yep, that's how I'm making the player unable to move during the fade-in effect in my dream map.

1) What Tetsu0 suggested. If you ever need to make a func_illusionary invisible without destroying it, use an env_render.
2) An invisible func_wall_toggle. If the player is inside it when it's activated, the player won't be able to move or crouch.

I have two discarded maps that use puzzle.wad and puzzletextures.wad. If anyone knows who made those WAD files, please let me know. If you, reader, made one of them, can I upload my map and your textures and have them included in Castle Disposed?

Skals you may have to activate it by right-clicking on a text input field and clicking "Check Spelling". You can also activate it for all text fields on all sites by checking "Check my spelling as I type" under Settings > Advanced > General > Browsing. You may also have to download a dictionary for it to work. Here's the British dictionary.

Well if you haven't agreed to any license but still got the map sent to you by a server, you should be able to use it the same way you can use any other map.

These models are also going to have to replace existing NPC's so I hope you guys don't mind all your scientists in HL turning into Urbys. :P

(I still don't get the NO MOD FOLDERS rule) :rly:
I don't like it either, I prefer working in mod folders and I've already replaced the background and the menu and edited many of the dialogs.

(Not my photo)

Mounted on a SNES, it lets you play SNES games stored in ROM files. You transfer ROM files from another SWC or a PC through a serial cable or using floppy disks. You can play most games with it, only a few whose copy protection hasn't been cracked or with special chips inside the game cartridge won't play (like Super Mario Kart which has a built-in graphics chip).

N64? That reminds me I have a few SNES games. But I have no idea where they are now that I think of it. I really should find them.
I've got a SNES and a Super Wild Card SMS3201, but unfortunately I've lost the power cable. The only SNES game I own is Blackhawk (AKA Blackthorne), one of the worst video games I've ever played. But thanks to the SWC I can play most downloaded ROMs on the SNES. Once I get a new power cable, that is.

judges are supposed to be impartial.
But rarely are. And how are you supposed to tell if a map is true to the book which it's based on, if you haven't even read the book? A map based on a book the judge hasn't read can be filled with lots of details and references to different chapters, characters and events without the judge even noticing, while another map based on a map the judge has read contains a few references and details, and gets a higher score because of them.
how about we pause for a second and think before we make stupid comments.
I suggest you do.

Trapt shut up, you're being an ass.

It's obvious that an entry based on a book the judges have read would have a greater chance of winning than an entry based on a book completely unknown to them. The judges would have to read all books if everyone's to have the same chance.
That said, I would enjoy mapping Sherlock Holmes's apartment. Or Scrooge McDuck's money bin.

Gawd, why do everyone have to be so negative and pretend to be stupid?
Wouldn't that be dishonest? It's been said, you could just as well be asking to "map anything" then call it a dream.
No, you couldn't.
It can be pretty much any surreal and confusing map layed out as a dream.

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/1659/hl3demosourceengineek6.jpg - Not real-time-rendered, probably also Photoshopped.

yeah, but Direct X 11 is that advanced
Eh... no. Graphics cards aren't advanced enough to produce such lighting in real-time, whether they get their instructions through DirectX 11, 10, 9, OpenGL or anything else.

Ok, I'll probably vote for "map a dream", since it'll still allow us to map nightmares, and it would be stupid to have some members vote for "map a nightmare" and some for "map a dream", it would probably lead to both ideas losing.
