1. is the model high enough off the ground (too close and it gets all wierd and stuck.) It'll automatically appear on the ground no matter how high up you put it so don't worry.
2. Is it for singleplayer or deathmatch etc. Check the models flags are set right.

:)

in Stealth fans: Look now! Post #57735
Quiet you! :P

I'm just thinking how much this sounds like the first level in Timesplitters 2.

The stealth element in a game should be a fun addition, as opposed to an absolute necessity. I'm a big fan of the unrealistic but fun AI where you jump out at an enemy, attack him then hide again, after which he just forgets about it. Splinter cells stealth my be realistic, but trying not to be noticed THAT hard makes for an infuriating game that will gather dust in the corner. (just ask my copy splinter cell pandora tommorrow!)
Good luck Seb!

if youve done it exactly like the tut then it SHOULD be working. Try just "city" without the cl_ in front of it. That shouldnt make any difference but worth a try i suppose.

Yes its like that....but BETTER.

Another one: Staring at a particular part of someones face to make them self conscious about it.

Staring is great.

Try this one if you are at school/uni: Get everyone during a class to stare slightly to the left/right of the lecturer and watch how he then moves left. Keep staring slightly left/right of him and he'll keep moving.

1. Pictures that seem to have eyes which follow you.
2. Elderly people (with sheer contempt for them trying to strike up conversation with me on the bus while i try to get some sleep. Staring makes them stop i find)
3. TV (even when theres nothing actually worth watching. The powers of TV stare me)

in Help making textures for McDonalds Map Post #57199
You could reskin headcrabs so they look like big macs that are attacking people and turning them into zombies.

However, judging by the actual size of people who eat at McDonalds, you'd have a hard time putting more than 1 or 2of them in your map, like encountering the same r_speeds for multiple nihilanths.

Following the offensive post last night I think its safe to say that just DELETING anonymous posts isnt enough.
Three solutions (at least while this carries on):

1. Stopping anon posting. (unfair to newcomers, makes the site seem unapproachable)

2. Show the IP of the poster (wouldnt be hard to get round)

3. Disable hotlinking. (I dont like it anyway being a grumpy dial-uper)

Something must be done ASAP.

Thats NOT teleporting.
That copying something, making a copy from the information and then destroying the original. The matter doesnt actually move anywhere, so I dont see the point. E.g the REAL you is DESTROYED and an exactly replica appears somewhere else. But YOU die.

Aliens abductions are american folklore, much like witches and ghosts are to Europians.

Take sleep paralysis for example (google it), which I've have got several times and it ISNT nice. Your mind wakes up but the part which stops you running about in your sleep acting on your dreams physically (sleepwalking) keeps you paralysed. So you are in the hypnogogic state (asleep but awake). You cant move and it really feels like your being held down. You physically see, but not move your head. If you are still half dreaming, you may see a figure.

Europians called them witches and demonic attacks (incubii and sucubii) where something supernatural holds you down. Americans call it alien abduction.

BTW, if you really WANT to experience sleep paralysis, constantly mucking up your sleep cycle does the trick (sleeping late one day, not sleeping the next). Its not something I'd suggest (i ALWAYS have the TV on when I go to sleep, waking up in absolute darkness paralysed is horrific)

Try telling some backwater europians that witches and demons don't exist. Same with americans. Its just a wierd modern folklore in place of the ones left behind in the old world.

I would be REALLY paranoid if EVERY LAST incident was explained away by experts. THAT would suggest a cover up more than UNexplained ones.

Slightly off topic, and of course Andy's powers are useless against this one:

Anonymous Map Commenting only? Or more precisely, Listing the names of anyone who voted for a map in the vault and how many starts they give it. I'm sick of people with 10 5 star ratings and 2 downloads. It defeats the ENTIRE purpose of the map. Or maybe if you could only rate+comment at the same time.

It just bugging me that I have to wade through so many naff maps with fake ratings.

You dont CHOOSE a president freely, you select one or the other. You're never going to see an average joe having the money and pr needed to dupe people into voting for him.

Its the whole 'freedom' joke.

You're FREE to have a big house and car....if you have the money.
You're FREE to vote for the person you want....as long as its THIS guy or THAT guy.

Anyone ever see that tv series 'V' It had reptilie men in it.

I don't believe in the whole 'toothpaste to enlsave mankind' conspiracy. You'll notice that Americans (with fluoride in their water) have white teeth, whereas countries without have off-white teeth.

Bush could well be from another planet though. If you listen to his wierd alien language of "subliminibleleble" etc it seems so.

Its no 'crap' as you so beautifully put it crusader...being cynical and asking questions about simple things is what seperates REAL people from the vast unthinking herd of human cattle. Prounounced "A-mer-i-can"
