I have the Gordon one saved in a text-file if anyone wants it.
Btw, it's important to mention you have to have word-wrap turned off in notepad, otherwise the text will look like a big mess.

Can everyone who reads this e-mail give me as many free web hosting service name as they can think of? Currenlty I am using GeoCities to host my website, but I want to look for a new service. One reason is I would like my user name to match my e-mail address. My website is http://www.geocities.com/paulkennedym/ but my e-mail is paulkennedy124@hotmail.com.
Thanks.

Is it possible to apply more than one texture to a brush face, and is it possible to apply the same texture to the same face in different ways.
The reason I ask is because I am trying to make a helicopter pad and apply the helipad texture on each of the four corners.
Thanks.

in Prefabs Post #49775
If you use other people's prefabs you should give credit to that in the Readme.txt file, I think, but people don't have to upload their prefabs if they don't want to, so it's not like they're stealing other mapper's work. When people make mod's, they often don't do it onlone, they work together with other people.

I agree with David, that prefabs have a lot to go with mapping. Trapt, you said this is a mapping and that it should have a prefabs section. Well, how do tutorials, forums, and competitions have anything more to do with mapping than prefabs? They all contribute to the site and make TWHL what it is.

in Prefabs Post #49476
In the C:Program FilesValve Hammer Editorprefabs file folder, there are prefab files that have prefabricated objects. I think it would be a good idea to have a section devoted to prefabs. Putting an object in a map takes more space than just including it in the prefab.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the direction of gravity? I want to make a Spinning space station that would simulate gravity in real life, and I want to have about 8 different gravity directions.

How do I make my website appear on the member websites list? Is it random, or is it the newest websites submitted? Not that my website is anything special yet, but I am planning to give it an overhaul sometime in the near future.

Oooohhhh, gotcha. ;) I was thinking about how macs don't support alt text too. Reason #89723495734957 why I personaly like windows better than Macintosh. No offense if you like macs, just as long as you have some good reasons, such as maybe you think they are better for art or whatever.

in Vocabulary Section Post #40089
I noticed on the vocab section each term has it's own webpage. Maybe instead it could have a pop-up window or alt text or something. Or maybe all on one page with anchors at the top to each word. That way it doesn't add a lot of pages to your history and back/foward buttons and I would think it would be easier to manage on the server.

Do you think they used software to do that? You know, have an image, then use a program to figure out the light and dark areas or something? If they didn't, he are both really really creative and has WAY too much time much on his hands.

in Barney Sitting Position Post #37312
I have created a map in which I want Barney to be sitting a desk. The map is Reaction Time - Level 2 under the map vault (I'm a noobie so please bear with me). It is the second level of a short mod I want to create. I have Half-Life Model Viewer 1.25 and I know that Barney's sitting position is in the same .mdl file in the valve .pak file (unlike the scientist which has a seperate monster for some reason) but I don't know how to make Barney in that position to begin with. Please help. Thanks.

in Applying textures individually Post #35216
Can anyone tell me how to apply textures to individual faces without applying it to the entire brush, or is that possible? I know I can hollow it out and apply textures to each brush, but I'd rather now end up with 6 new brushes each time I want to apply a different texture.
Yes, I know about decals, but those are entities and in the sixth tutorial map for worldcraft 2.0 they applied a light texture to the underside of a single bush, but left the rest of the faces with a cement texture of something.
Thanks

Before when I used wc 2.0 I could make textured lights, but now I have to use point entity lights because the textured lights won't light up. I have been using +0~fifties_lgt2. Doesn't seem to work. I can send anyone who wants one a map.

Yup, that was it. The door had a name. I deleted it and now it works. Thanks! Thanks for the download link. I was afraid that it would be too much for my connection, but 2mb isn't so bad, especially for a program. Thanks again!

I read the door tutorial and I learned how to make doors that opens when you "use" them, but I want to know how to make a door that opens when you bump into it. Do you make part of the door a button that is touch sensative and then target it?

What is NS?

I noticed that in the c1a0 map of HL there is a room with the periodical table of elements and a dry-erase board. There is also a light switch that turns off the lights. I think maybe they used off light textures and put point lights just below them. What do you think?

I found out that I have to move the object into the position that aligns with the texture, and then click texture lock from the tools menu and then move the object to the desired place. Thanks anyway.

in Texture disalignment Post #33651
I rather new to Worldcraft and I only have version 2.0. I have only made a few maps so far. My problem is that when I insert objects or create brushes and add textures to them, sometimes the textures don't fit on the brush the way I want it to. I can move the objects so that the textures fit, but I was wondering if there was a way to make the texture fit without moving the brush. If you don't understand, I can send you a screenshot.
