I think we should do some more discussing of the return value of the main int, then errupt in a horrible flameware which ends up spamming the topic with dodge C++ code...

Rim, remember that anything that gets compressed also needs to be unpacked. So it basicly moves the problem to the other end of the line, a thing you dont want.

A good thing is this new service that allows you to stream a game on the go, so you download the first 5 minutes, after that you start playing, then the game starts streaming all the required content.

As PB says, one would need to stream all the data fast enough over a set distance. Data that normally go's directly into the motherboard.

Daub:

Me during training at Texel in 07. Last stick at about 7.30, sun was setting, 1000FT clouds, and a wind that was a bit to hard to feel completely safe. Landing was very soft though, the shute settled very easy on the ground.

This is me approaching the LZ at Westerbroek, the LZ from PCMN(skydive hilversum). Worst landing up to this point, i flared to early and try to make some last minute turns. Looked painfull, wasnt for me.

Satchmo, gaming hasnt been for geeks the last 3/4 years anymore, just imagine gaming in concert and suck events. Also, it gets more and more media attention, reviews in news papers etc. Makes sense, since the industry is bigger then the music and film industry combined.

I mainly use the CS3 series of tools, nicely streamlined and easy to integrate in the workflow whilst using tools as 3dsm.

I do have those other freeware programs installed, and i can say there pretty decent.

Artrage 2 is also pretty nice to have something that resembles sketching on the computer.

Freshed, currently doing MBO gamedesign, i hadnt had time to make a portfolio during the HAVO, so i figured i might spend a few years doing just that whilst getting some practical skills before going to the HBO. And, i didnt hear about a HBO gamedesign study until the last 2 months, so i was to late and didnt want to go work 24/7 as a store clerk. Might go for AFF(Accellerated Free Fall) instructor when i have my AFF license, although not many people make a living out off that.

I think ZL has a good point. And offcourse, budget cuts in education system and vain attempts to try and commercialize it ruins als quite a big part off it. And as soon as you cut schools on there money because some students do not perform as others then you create a environment in which grades are the only thing that matter, and thus all the content for the tests is merely being stuffed in the brains and not linked to other content, thus forcing students to overthink it themselves...

in Who will be the next superpower? Post #259045
That indeed is ridiculous, especially if you look per country were all the goods come from.

That there a world power is pretty certain. Althogh how the balance will end up cant be said for sure. Powers change overtime throughout history, the big question is, when will civilization as we know it end? For i doubt we can avoid it this time, if we know one thing then that is that history has a nasty way of repeating itself, although not in the same way everytime.

within 2 years china will prevail as the mayor economy, India will probably taking second place, with USA coming in third, and Japan probably 4th. Europe will go down in the list.

Why?

The economy has been changing for a long time already, china and india have proven that there economy is up to the job and have bee growing extensively, the dominant position of the western countries which has lasted for over 200 years has been declining ever since. China's economy wont take much off a hit deu to the credit crunch/housing bubble. They have happily been buying US obligations for a long long time already and effectively been running the US economy. China has recovered the eastern economy's when they had a crisis in the 90's and thus created a stable region for others countries to grow in.

China is effectively creating its own costumer, the US. What not a lot of people realize, is that one day china is going to want it's money back, anybody would like there money back when they loan it. But the US cant afford this unsless declaring for bankruptcy. Which would be a interesting situation that wont happend deu to a dozen off reasons.

EDIT: WC, military power? It still needs to be paid, and the US developed some expensive toys they cant really afford without the money flow from china. aaah Irony!

You broke the rules. You pay for it. It's a simple concept that society has been maintaining for a long time now. And there is no way to justify breaking it.

Dont want to have people's opinion dont make a thread about it.

It's a bit easy IMHO, most people seems to enjoy me chopping there head off. And if you know when to charge forward and hold back then you can dominate the server. I've had a few rounds when i teamed up with someone that we beat the other teams knights which were rushing out. Although the gameplay is pretty good, nice melee system.
