I sent her an email to the best of my abilities. Being a stranger does make it difficult, as does not knowing what to say about an operation such as that, but I do hope it'll cheer her up, if only a little.

I'm a bit puzzled. How come most of you only have 3-2 icons on your desktops? Are you really that tidy or you just do this for showoff?I like my screens nice and artsy, so I keep everything in menus and on toolbars. Especially my current desktop background, since it's my own art.

Found out about this a couple weeks ago when the server got overloaded and it was free to play for a few days, then I just bought it. It's pretty good fun.
Multiplayer is also good for some entertainment, just seeing what other can do, right in front of your face.

Indeed, I also have Fire Red. If I had a DS I'd get Soul Silver. I tried to ROM it but they all ran incredibly slow.
Yeah I got lost after Ruby/Sapphire. Didn't have a DS, didn't have interest, and honestly, still don't. I'd stick with Red/Blue-Gold/Silver if I could. Or revamps of said games (Fire Red, Heart Gold)

I only ever played WaW MW1 and MW2. I never owned WaW OR MW1, so considering MW2 is just MW1+ and I didn't ever pay for MW1... I'm going to have to say I like MW2.

Doom 3 wasn't by any means good by today's standards, but it felt "Doom-y" to me. I'd only buy it if they're both cheap as hell if I were you. Also, it was lacking some from Doom 1 and 2.

Throw in Starcraft & Brood War, along with Warcraft 3 & Frozen Throne, Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil, a few random shit games like Halo 1, and that's about it.
Not even going to bother with the PS2 games, traded most of em in already for Gamestop credit. Not going to bother with the N64 either, none of them have boxes, and I don't feel like hassling myself.

2) Even though we've stated that it won't work, if somehow we entered a fantasy world where it WOULD work, and it was successfully made and finished, who would WANT to play it? Look at it this way:
a.) Primitive Version of Half-Life 2 featuring numerous bugs and glitches, weak graphics, and highly condensed gameplay
b.) The real thing, featuring beautiful graphics, expansive levels, next-to-no bugs, and fully featured including all the levels, gameplay, voices, and such forth.
3) Back to ANYONE that is going to mention Black Mesa again based on what I said. In simplest respect, Black Mesa is turning an dated game from an old man into a beautiful young woman. This project would be the opposite. I'm sure most of us wouldn't like our young beautiful girlfriends turning into wrinkly old men, so why would we want our games to?
Regardless, if this is an endeavor that the OP wishes to pursue, then I wish him and his team good luck, you're going to need it.

So far, as many times as projects like these have popped up, I've yet to see a legitimate, GOOD, set of screenshots of some levels.

Most of those with weapons look like the weapons PS'd into a picture. Why would the weapons be lo-q and the rest of the environment be hi-q?

@Tawnos: Live is only 50 a year so if you're paying 60 you're getting ripped off. LIVE is also not bad at that price, and you get a LOT more support and features than Sony is giving. And a LOT less downtime. You'd never realize the difference until you tried it.
And you can't argue vs. PC because most the servers are dedicated servers owned or hosted by other people paying for them FOR you. But PS3 being free just makes it shitty. Been there, done that.

Singleplayer was okay, I actually played Halo 3 single player twice, just to get it beat on Legendary. But I hated the multiplayer, same with previous Halo multiplayers.
