My story of what happend to Shephead seems to beat pretty much any story my mind compares it too.

If it were properly made into a mod...

FF8 soundtrack is accually better FYI.

and my Audigi 2 does a great job with some midi's, and yet others the instiments are all messed up.

use google for an old midi library and a midi player that can be told to use that library of midi voices to play midi files

why, I would love to have someone make my story's into mods

I have a great on for what happend to shepherd after the Gman stasitised him. but I would preffer to have that story made by some of the top HL2 mappers if I could, seeing as I don't want an average mod made out of it.

this Bm:E mod wouldn't happen to be using the idea I wrote up about how they escaped BM does it?

Something like the story I posted:
Eli and Kliener start in the room where you meet them the first time (the room right after the control room). they get out of the area by going down the thing that brought the sample up. You play as Eli and have to get to the dormatories to get Alyx, then escape. Kliener generally follows you, although there are parts while he waits back at a part that you are forced to come back to get to where you need to be. you leave the complex after a while and end up meeting Barney Calhoun and the other sci's driving away from BM, as in the end of Blue shift. go drive with them, fades, you get to an airport. The military is covertly locking down the airport as to not arrouse suspision of the BM incedent and of the scis escape. you have to get to your plane without being noticed by the military. If you do its game over. It ends up that Rosenfeld and his buds go to Austriaia or something, while Eli, Kliener, Barney, and Alyx go to berlin germany. All are somewhat safe from the soldiers. Then it shows the portal storms and combine invasion and all that in little cut scenes that take place over a year or two. see the HL timeline site and the part in Urbanebula's and I's Multiple Choice Fan Fiction where Tom makes his long speech about what happend to explain that more. then you step into the shoes of a rebel trying to help form the resisance under the BM escapee's fighting the combine and such.

great ideas Rimrook.

now:

-You can't go too far until you find the eepee to chop through vines that are covering certain doors.
doable, although not in its entirety, breakable with ultrahigh health and instant crowbar ticked would do it.

-The Pistol allows you to shoot buttons that are out of reach in high places to open doors.
doable

-If Possible, explosives will blast closed parts of certain areas open.
breakables where they can't be shot, but only hit by splash damage.

-Long jump will let you acccess new areas.
doable

-A gravity diffuse upgrade will half your personal gravity. This opens more areas up to access.
sounds fun, but maybe have it toggleable so your not constantly half-assed floating around.

-Spending specified amounts of suit energy to power and open doors.
coding

-if possible. an upgrade that minimizes your crawling sized so you can fit through smaller crawl spaces. Only if possible though.
coding

and for the level design. have you played someplace else, its a great example of the double back technique that you should use. you start near a lift thats off, go under the part where you end to turn it on, take the lift up and end up running around that part you were just under, able to see where you were before. a nexus effects forms. and the areas all seem to be one place built onto itself. it is great for gameplay

Physics engine better then havoc, compatable with Maya, blender, 3dsmax, etc...

don't leave rim, not only will we all be sad, but you will likely be disapointed by the friendlyness of other comunities. Anyway, your not a big fish in a small pond. Your a Big fish in a Big pond where there arn't a whole lot of big fish.

I do however support you posting your maps at other sites, maybe with something pointing your downloadee's to come here.

I would love to see a co-op map between you and Kas. it would be so nice I could cry at the thought of it. Although its up to you two.

Personal services would be great too. But don't do them to the point that they impact your own mapping. maybe write a tut or two. and what do you mean about the compileing thing? that makes me think of like a F@H compiling program. m0p, your thoughts?

and your not pwning TWHL. your just making us all crane our necks to look up at god and smile.

I'd say grab the source engine (due to its better looks and effiecency compared with the unreal 3 engine), make a small area of your MMO in that, and see how it comes out.

use it as a jumping point.
