Just make a trigger multiple that will target it. I myself need to do that for I also have a very short coridor thats the transation will be in it.

Thats a train with angular volocity. The part from the wall that breaks is either a func_wall_toggle or a breakable. just target the disapearing part of the wall with the last path corner. If the train doesn't fit in the wall that disapeared in the end just change the angular volocity until it fits.

Valve haven't released Cs source(not the engine) SDK, it is much harder to code for CS, and few will know how to do it with out that.

No clipping means you can fly and pass through walls. Create a short cut to your CS.exe and in the target range(in the proporties) add(with a space between the parameter you add to what that was written before) -dev

Now enter the game through the short cut(if you have steam then it must be open in that time) and while in game press the ~ button and write 'noclip'(without the quotes) in the window. You now can fly and pass through walls, just free your self from the walls by moving away from it. If you never saw the void thats out side of your level then it just looks like the texture you passed through, only scrambled, nothing to see.

Did you try nocliping to free yourself in game. If you manage that means you need to move the spawn point away from the walls, and higher(but not too high!

Nice aliens, although it's weird to see them holding M-16, can you give them a more alienish weapons. Did you ever play UFO Defences-Enemy Unknown? If not you should. It has many kinds of aliens and alien artifects and some of them are really nice! Your alien reminds me a bit of the one seen in the movie, it, like your alien, doesn't have a nose.

The head looks a bit weird. Maybe it's because his mouth is always open.
You can add little nostrils... don't make them like regular ones, make them longer and thiner.

I forgot to tell thee rimrook- What no stun rod? It might really fit this mod! That blade is boring... I want something newer...

Don't make it(if you do) like Hl2's stupid little stun clubs. Make it along rod that with it you shock enemies.(using Opfor's electicity model that is used to make the electricity around enemies after they are hit by an electricity bug) The stun rod in X-com looks much better, I think it will look nice if you'll have something like that in your mod.(to see that stun rod, look in the UFOpedia thats found with in the game)

Do you run on software video mode? It can only render 800 wpolies(faces..ect) and I don't know how many epolies(model faces)...

If we see suns that are a million light years away then yes. The north star is 400 light years away from us.

Nemostein, if you look at a black hole do you see yourself? In your drawing it is so, for some of the light that bouces off you returns back to you.
We can't see if there are any life in any other solarsystems, YET.
No we can't, but we can estimate if there are life in there acording to the location of the planet, his orbit and the distence between it and that solar system's sun...ect

Just my opinion.
I don't believe in that they have checked every solar-system in the galaxy since there are over a million stars in there.
There are billions of stars in the galaxy.

Even if there was one solar-system, not including us, in the galaxy they couldn't see if on a star there are creatures or not. The closest solar-system to our planet is 6 light years away, which means it takes the light 6 year to get from there to here. Because it takes the light 6 years to get here we see what happend 6 years ago on that solar-system. Just think how many years back do we see on the farst solar-system.

They checked the locations of the stars in the solar-system, their orbit and their distence from the sun in that solar-system... ect
They didn't check each star.

I got one question for you guys on black holes- Do you really think they look like what they show in many movies? A black weirl something? For you should all know it's looks like a black star. As for the ring of light around the black hole- Even if there is a ring we wont be able to see it, for what you are saying the light is trapped in there and it never comes out. If it doesn't get to our eyes then how do we see it.

You mean low-poly. High-poly models sometimes have stupid stuff added to them. Like the high poly otis in sven co-op, why does he need seperated fingers? Whats the point, he usally never uses them.

I'd make only the thumb seperate from the other fingers, like in the HEV guy, or the Gman.

Our galaxy don't have any other planets that support life. I heard that every solar system was checked and it was found out there was not one star that is cappable to have life in it.

Just think of it, you have a high poly gun with lots of polies and you fight against 10 high polies enemies, how many polies will the game render in the end? About 20000 epolies. Just make good looking models that aren't low poly or high.

Deep thoughts are usually far too complex and lencthy to put into word easily. I suppose a very simple example would be 'Time'. Time doesnt exist, hence why it is imposible to travel through time, it is a human concept. A measurment, like Meters. "A Meter" doesnt exist, its just a concept, a way of measuring somthing. Time does not exist, hence why time travel is imposible, because its just a measurement, not a force or an object. Now combine this with the fact that people get old and die, and how the more 'time' you spend on the planet the older you get. If time isnt real, how is this possible?
Try to understand einstein's theories before saying that. It is possible to travel forword in time. Just move in a speed near to the speed of light and while everybody that doesn't move fast pass away you will only get older by an hour or a year... I don't know. You might even end in the middle of the sun after it will start to grow and turn into a red giant.( it will be in about another 5 billion years)

Problem is you can't go back!

How it happens... I don't know, all of this theory is much too complex for me. :confused: I just learned all that I just said from my physics teacher.

Rimrook, mapping is only the enviorment, modeling can be both the characters and both the terrain. Like in strategy games.

Yet again= Modeling > Mapping

And think of it in what job do you need mapping? Only making maps for FPS games which is hard to get and rare. Modeling isn't only for computer games.

It's very simple to use- First you need to choose the .map and point files. Then choose the color, dimentions and name of the block that will be created. And at last press mark leak and the block will be created in the map file. To find it just search for the entity with that name. ;)

If you have models you can make games but not fps games though. If you only have mapping you wont have anything. You need models for fps and mapping while for strategy and many other kind of games you need only modeling. Sprites are nice additions to both but we aren't talking about them.

Conclution= Modeling > Mapping

Quake2 had many scary bits in it. I was always afraid of the mutants...

Now I call each game that was before Hl1 old. It changed games for ever, and I think that it changed them in a bad way.

Well I have a better suggestion- create their AI! Although you may try replacing a monster's body with the kinpin's but I think it wouldn't fit the skeleton so the animations will abit horrible.

Doom1- When I first saw the cyberdemon! Boy he's big...
Doom2- When suddeny I heard a archvile, they roar quite loadly.

Castle wofenstein3D- I once played in extention of that nice game(don't remember the game, the splash screen(first screen) had a red tower in a rainy night in it) it was a horrible extention for it was full of mazes, and I can't stand mazes.(they just placed them in there because they had nothing else to do) I was suddenly scared when I found out I'm lost and that I wont leave one of the mazes as soon as I hoped. :P

Games that aren't from first person view don't scare me.
Catacombs
Was that a first person shooter game? If so you might be talking about the first one. I think it's called catacomb rider.

The bugs may only be in the stuff added to 3.5.(like sometimes it textures the models with costum textures that are used in the map)
Most of the bugs in 3.4 are fixed though, so it's much better then it.

I would really like some of the features used in hammer 4... too bad it wont be updated. Names in the 2D views and wireframe model rendering in them will be awsome. :cry:

Neat models! Really realistic. As for the glasses do what they did with the scientist in Hl1, only make the lens transperent. ;)
