First one is flow_control. Second one is Myles_room.
And thanks the purple sky thing is purple additive fog sprites that are upscaled quite a bit and all different framerates. They stand out against the black sky.
? I didn't use it because why host vid.s for others to view that would be pointless if they didn't know the maps or even have hl. Quality sucks bc I used a camera to actually record my monitor. I'm too lazy to mess with screen recorders and they are always glitchy anyways.

. Heres some vids showing a cool glitch in flow_control to get the egon with out the gauss. It can also be gotten with the long jump instead.
. For the glitch jump on the ladder. Get to the second rung and while crouching walk off the left edge of the ladder. You can also do it facing where you will be launched as I did in the vid.
. The secret on myles_room is shown because no one would find it in a million years. Its one of those secrets that only benefits the creator of the map. Pretty nifty.
It must have something to do with just turning the resolution all the way up a week ago and beginning to play counter strike source. It should handle it and its only a few years old.
Does anyone have any affordable suggestions? Do I need a better one than this since it apparently crapped out with source? My neighbor reccomended it for me and knows quite a bit. Eventually I need an entire new build because mapping for source is toooooo slow but i'll try to keep this rig together because I have no money.
Well before I try that i've tryed reinstalling the video driver and it is unable to do so. Someone else had the very same problem after playing counterstrike source. I have an nvidia geforce 8300 gs...
I uninstalled it and than it is unable to "search and reinstall it".
Anyone know why my computer monitor is displaying everything "Icons, fonts" really big? Also there are yellow dotted vertical lines and the graphics are horrible. Something to do with the graphics card? I messed with the properties settings but nothing.
I was playing cs source last night, could have something to do with it? ...
Wtf, I didn't even know that it could be wide screen with out distorting the image! Wow I had it at like 1024 x 768 and now its at 1680 x 1050. Thanks for that call!
Oh yea i've played through that I always think back to how nice it was! His water looks like from source from what I remember and amazing vertical movenemt and vertex manipulation...
Thanks soup lol. Well the map will contain many random areas with different music correlating with each. For this "area" I imagined a tall walled narrow L shaped area with metal like looking walls and fans all over the walls. I also wanted it to look grown over. I may have been sub consciously inspired by Rimrook's human absence map I just recently checked out.
Than I mapped out the walls and playtested till I got the scale right and than began adding smaller than smaller detail and than textured it better and added the green dust and sounds. I make most maps like this. I also started with a few quick sketches. I finished this area in only three sittings and i'm pretty proud of it though it may not be as "weird" ad the rest of the map will be.
Btw soup you seem to be working on something quite sexy yourself! I like your vines and could have used them in this map.
Has anyone played the huhhh like maps by Nipper for cs1.6?
Lol thanks. Will do once I get more progress. Any of you ever play nipper's huhhh, gahhh, etc. maps? If so you'll have somewhat an Idea of where this is going. Thats right, really bizzare!

The fan sounds are nice just took the fan sound from the fanboat on hl2 and slowed it down a bit with goldwave.
Thanks. I've poked at it before but it takes forever to compile for source little alone load up half life two on my computer. I hope to get a better one eventually and begin with source. I actually bought my computer to map for source yet its still too slow.
Workin on this bad boy for counterstrike condition zero. Will make it for cs as well. I was completely inspired by nipper's huhhh maps etc. and the idea of creating each room/ area with its own music to go with it which i've been wanting to do for some time now.

Change for the "better" is good. Its time to up grade. I still use the goldsource because compiles are fast but it can't handle most of my ideas... I got a buddy from school that uses udk I just met. Maybe he'll teach me a thing or two and I can intro. him to the good old quick and basic gold. Either way changing is fine. But have a plan "what engines it will incorporate according to current tech." and what it will expand to......
Cs 1.6 sucks I just compared it to condition zero and its like walking into a room of sheeeeiittt. lol

Also, for those who map. Condition zero's fgd. includes rain and snow which is nearly impossible to include in large maps or any for that matter without highly negatively effecting the map's gameplay otherwise.
I don't know why ya'll are being hard headed. Condition zero wasn't "repainted" with flameable paint. Its actually nice and I like playing it . I was just trying to recommend a fun game that is cheap to youg guys. If you "like" counterstrike than you'll "love" condition zero. I wasn't targeting you who don't like counterstrike...
