I seem to have a little problem... the bsp took over then an hour. Thats weird for the vis usally takes that long, the bsp takes only a few minutes. I think it's because my brother always messes with the computer. I wont enter this one for sure.

If you want costum decals you'll have to make a minimod with a decals.wad of it's own. People don't like when somebody messes with their stuff.

Spirit is a mod for Hl1. It's got many cool stuff added to it. Like fog, rain, 3d skybox, movewith option and particle sprites.

Do the same thing that is done in this example map, only instead of an item_suit use weapon_shotgun. This way is better then using a multisource cause then he can tell you to take the gun and/or play an animation.

Also tick the prisoner flag if you don't wont him to respond to anything but still talk like the Disaster have already accured. If you wont him to say- "hey catch me later and I'll buy you beer" tick the Pre-Disaster flag.

Only with coding, sorry it wont work in any other way.

I myself think the diffrence between the difficulty levels are quite annoying. I prefer the way they did it in quake2, the harder the skill is the more enemies.

You seem to underastimate Hl1. I'm surprised after your entery with the over detailed cliffs. Hl1 can can easly handle a few decals and parking lines.

I'm afraid I wont be entering, damn teachers and their tests/homework. :furious: But I'll submit the map anyway. :)

The teachers always ruin my plans. I think I'll only enter during vacations. I haven't got much left to do. A bit of texturing, one room, entitywork and sending it over to rimrook. So I'll submit it in the vault, don't like to be pushed around.

Maybe there is away to do it without coding, if the game_player_equip entity can supply you with empty weapons.

If they can then it's quite simple. Place a monster_furniture entity with the gun model. Place a trigger_once around it and make it kill the monster_furniture(using the killtarget value of course ;) ) and make it target the game_player_equip that will give you the weapon.

The problem is simple. You don't have enough virtual memory to finish the compiling procces. Don't touch your computer during compiling, don't even move your mouse and close all the unnessesry programs working at the same time. If that doesn't work try using batch compiling, it requires less virtual memory. If that doesn't work, try removing/rebuilding complex parts of your map and make them less complex. Take paticular attention to complex world brush work. Vis ignores entities and this problem usally happens in vis/rad so it may not be the problem. Brushes that create leaf saw into portal errors should be fixed, these always are in areas with very detailed world brushes.

If nothing else works then you need to upgrade your computer. :

The link is broken! I've been modeling too for sometime, my drawing skills help me alot. I didn't finish all the tutorials though, I'm finishing then one by one, in order. I managed to finish almost all of them(I'm almost finished with the mapping tutorial) but I have no time. When I'll finish the last tutorial(building models with drafts for background to guide you) I'll be able to finally start with modeling my own characters and props.

Bahh, I didn't see the thread in time. To late for me, they have all the mappers they need and I don't like being a replacement.

Yeah happens to me every time! :( The scientist just wont talk. When I made the scripted sentence target a gman it was fine, I didn't change any of the attributes, except the sentence name and the speaker type.

To create a looped multimanager, make it trigger it self after it triggers all it's targets. To make it stop- KILL IT, with the killtarget value.

The diffrence between aiscripts and scripts is that you can't desterb a monster in a middle of an aiscript while in a regular script you can. The regular script can play looped animations(idle) while the aiscript can't with out triggering it all the time. The animation you use isn't an idle one so you have to use a looped multimanager in order to do it.
