I seemed to have misplaced mine.

I LOATHE my facial hair.
But I hate shaving more.
If I don't shave everyday, It's as if I can feel the hair growing and it sKeeves me out SO MUCH.

It's one of the drawbacks of hammer. There's no real light preview.
You need to compile to see what it's going to look like in-game.
Trust me. It's a bummer. I use UDK as well and its so nice having real-time lighting previews.

My horse took about 2-3 seconds to respond to my inputs..

There are at least 2 Female members here that I know of.

And at start I've been strip mining at level 8. But now i dont any more since its easier to find them in caves.So you're telling me that you find more diamonds exploring low-level caves than you do strip-mining? I've been finding a new cave almost every day under Viagoria.
My Progress:
No Screenshots because I'm At work, BUT
-Added Wheat and Carrot Farm
-Thanks to Stu's help, I have a 4x8 cobblestone generator (Which has proved useless since i started strip mining
but it looks cool and works well)-Improved my Chicken farm by use of hoppers; will expand once chicken production improves.
-Finished one-way Rail bridge from Rimrook's to North Viagoria (Urby's old settlement)
To-Do:
-Dismantle unsightly single-block rail bridge, remove scaffolding.
-Place the rest of the Rails for the one-way bridge
-Make way-station at Urby's place, continue rail south to my settlement.
-Widen the "Great Continental Road" bridge from Viagoria to Rimoria (For ease of Horse Travel)
-Add Stairs down to the water every now and again for ease-of-access in-case you fall off the bridge with a horse.
-Finish Tree-House

if you run studiomdl through the command prompt it shouldn't automatically close out on you - allowing you to mark the text and copy it.

I have spent damn near 200 levels on enchantments and i still haven't gotten a fortune pickaxe. I keep getting eff. and unbreaking - which are great because the pics last FOREVER. But I wanna multiply my diamond income! Maybe i'll just start enchanting books.

Finally made a sanctuary in my mines so if i die i don't spawn at Rim's anymore

There's nothing saying we can't start or own compo aside from the Mods and Judges.
Even a community project.
Things just need to be well organized and people actually need to dedicate time.
I love this site and the compos, and it's a real shame to see the compos fail to get judged on time - but people have lives and responsibilities.
There's a community project just getting off the ground if you would like to contribute toward something in the meantime.

haha yeah they exist. I had one at one point. You just look around and all the diamonds, coal, and iron are solid - everything else is 100% transparent.
you don't happen to have one of those mineral texture packs where everything is invisible except diamonds?

What if you go to the mushroom island, break one of the giant ones, and then just farm the crap out of them with bonemeal?
Also... is it me or do these caverns' resources (iron, gold, diamond) seem a bit sparse?
Granted, i haven't made it to bedrock yet in my cave system as i keep finding new tunnels and crap and getting sidetracked.. but still. I have found a whopping 20 iron, 3 gold and Zero diamonds.

Just so you know, we offer tuts and such for Source as well as Goldsource.
So if your computer gets better, and/or you want to try your hand at some really complex entity setups, don't be afraid to move to Source.
It takes about 2 hours to really get comfortable with the new trigger system.
Displacements are fun...
Lighting is awesome...
You can manipulate AI a lot more precisely...

Also, if you're like the rest of us (i think i can tell that you are already) you have a lot random unfinished maps sitting in your mapping folder.

Just so you know.. Its going to take a LOT of tweaking to get the flight mechanics to even feel "ok".
Source isn't meant to do this without code and the phys_thrusters are clumsy at best to work with.
My first recommendations though
2 reverse facing thrusters - one under each wing - these will push you forward
2 thrusters mounted on the tail to push the tail up or down (for climbing/diving)
1 thruster on each wing tip for roll
I think i checked the "Ignore mass" and "Ignore Torque" flags
