i love the idea. it's a huge project tho. I'd help but I'm not that skilled in anything :P.

However i can help out with the story and stuff. now, about the idea for you being a clone of Gordon, I don't think that would work. RPG's are meant to be played by a lot of people at once, it just seems stupid if there's like 50 clones of Gordon running around the place at once.

It would be much better if each player is a different individual. The player doesn't necessarily need a back story. it's up to them what they do with their character. If all of them would be clones of Gordon Freeman, the feeling of individuality would be lost. also, it would make no sense if you were able to customize your character... since hes Gordon Freeman, one individual man.

i know the water thingy has to do with the texture. i had a problem like this in my map, some water textures work properly, some come up like that in ur map or dont even come up. the easiest solution is picking a different texture. theres plenty.

@ Tetsu0 - yeah, at the end of both of my maps, there is no level change or anything, just a blank room. i was thinking u could put the emblem there, so when the player eventually gets there when walked through the maps, he picks up the emblem and gets teleported out eh?

i found out theres an entity for this in svencoop called "squad_maker" (advanced version of mm). thanks for the help anyway, this will help out when mapping for other hl1 mods.

'trigger on monster death' is only in monster_... enitities, not monstermaker.

hi, im making a map for sc at the moment, but i think this can be done in hl1 too so ill ask this question here;

is it possible to trigger an event (a multimanager in this case) after a monster has been killed, which was made via monstermaker in the first place?

i have an event in my map... alot of aliens spawn constantly, you kill them... gargantua teleports to you (made by a monstermaker). now what i want to happen is when that gargantua dies another event is triggered with some cinematics and game_texts etc...

what i want to know is, how to trigger this multimanager after the gargantua dies? is this possible?
