First off, you can do A LOT to that system for $300.
Don't even think about getting anything as outdated as a Pentium 4 processor. The new generation of i7 processors are even coming down in price now (although you need a specialised mobo to house them), so to get anything less than a Core2 Duo is simply madness.
That should definitely be the upgrade you're looking for along side a new video card.
RAM basically comes free in cereal boxes these days. 2gb of DDR2 goes for pennies, and wouldn't hurt.

District 9 used subtitles. In any film with a foreign language and subtitles, alien or not, the subtitles aren't an exact translation. They are changed to convey the same message, but in the idiom of the language they're translating to.

Orange box and L4D models do not work in HL2 Source.
Some OB models do if you re-texture them with older techniques, but L4D models are compiled differently.

L4D mapping is identical to source, but with more features.
And the reason it takes so long to load is actually due to the model browser rather than the materials.
Makes the actual mapping process much easier and more efficient when you can access specific models in seconds from a massive library, rather than the library re-loading every time you open it like it used to.

The bots appear to crash every single custom map and the server oh-so-lovingly switches back to crossfire... (FUCKING CROSSFIRE FFS!)
It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that even when they do work, they do nothing but completely annoy the FUCKING TITS OFF OF EVERY PLAYER!
We had a full server this evening and within 10 minutes of a map change it was empty. Hopefully this joint rant will make things clear.
